I ordered the large pulled pork plate which, as you can see, comes with a generous portion of pork, 2 sides (baked beans and mac ‘n cheese for me today) and toasted Texas toast. I’m impressed with the taste, texture and moist protein here… this is how pulled pork is supposed to land on your plate. 100% edible with nothing left behind here – AND plenty of “bark” to enhance both taste and texture.

Had the rib platter. Poes is always good. I dont understand however why they leave the peritoneum (membrane on the back of the ribs). It’s easy to remove. Leaving it on makes the meat chewy and blocks the smoke and seasonings from getting to that side of the meat.

If you have not been to Dave Poe’s you are missing out! The Mac and Cheese is amazing! I ordered the red neck lasagna which is Brunswick stew with Mac and cheese on top and it was delicious!

Wow! I don’t usually eat my most loved food (BBQ). BUT when I do I want it to be so good you’d consider smacking someone.

If you’re looking for good brisket, don’t come here. About the blandest brisket out there. No seasoning, no smoke, and no smoke ring. I could make better in the oven with just salt, pepper and store bought sauce.

Order a few pounds of pork & a half pan of redneck lasagna for my sister’s 50th birthday. The food was a huge hit!! Thanks for a great meal to celebrate a wonderful birthday. We will definitely be back.

I had heard that the BBQ and pitmaster in this area were legendary, so I was excited to try Dave Poe’s smoked meats. However, I was disappointed with my purchase of ribs, pulled chicken, and brisket for $100. The meats were lacking in flavor, tenderness, and seasoning. It seemed like they were leftovers from the previous day or had been sitting in the warmer for too long. The brisket was dry and tasted like pot roast with no moisture. The ribs were from a young hog, resulting in small bones and dry meat. The pulled chicken had some flavor but was dry and required a lot of BBQ sauce.

I ordered a day ahead for pickup on 4th of July. Arrived at the time I said I’d pick up but the place was slammed with customers. I had a long wait for my order but it was well worth it…the pulled pork and the brisket were both excellent. The beans, potato salad, and slaw were great sides. I ate too much, I haven’t tried the banana pudding yet but my expectation is high. It was great not to cook but still have great food for the 4th cookout (I guess everyone else in Cobb had the same idea! )

Dave has maybe the best brisket around!! I only found out about it after about seven years of ordering the fantastic pork! Now I’m making up for it.

Wow! Just wow! This is delicious food! When we pulled up, there were no cars out front and we almost went somewhere else. I’m so glad we didn’t. My husband and I agree that although this isn’t our absolute favorite barbecue (that would be a tiny hole-in-the-wall in Kentucky that no longer exists), this is an incredibly close second. Fall off the bone ribs, delicious melt-in-your-mouth brisket, homemade ketchup, mild and sweet yet somehow slightly spicy house sauce, paper towels on the tables, the whole thing. This place is award winning, and you can see why. Their mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. Seriously- they say you’ll dream about it and they aren’t joking. And their jalapeño cornbread was sweet and just a little sticky but also spicy with just enough heat to make your mouth tingle. My husband got their fries. They were crispy and almost in a beer batter, but not exactly. Seriously- I recommend this place to everyone!
