Walked in a little before they closed in the afternoon and was very pleasantly surprised! Quickly seated by friendly and efficient staff. My husband and I ordered 2 roll specials, one bento box, and a beef hibachi all of which tasted so fresh and delicious! Will definitely be coming back for more!

I walked in for the first time this evening at 5 minutes til closing time. They were kind enough to cook the spicy teriyaki chicken for me and I’m eating it now as I took it to go. It is delicious!!! I will go back and take my friends! Good portions at a fair price. A small cozy place with nice atmosphere too.

I have never written a review in my life!!! I have lived in Chicago, LA, Atlanta, etc… and the biggest disappointment in the Knoxville food scene has been there’s no decent sushi in town. I now stand corrected… it’s not Miami / San Francisco sushi, nor would rank among the top in the above mentioned cities, but it was super solid! Not a single close second in all of Knoxville (trust me, I’ve tried them all). Dynamite roll was exactly that… Dynamite! Give it a try… you won’t be disappointed!

Me and my wife have come to this place like 4 or 5 times this month. I lost count. We keep trying not to come so often but the food is so amazing and the price is so good that we can’t really help it! I have been to several Japanese places in Knoxville but not one compares to KoKo in quality and the friendly service. It’s cozy and the owners always consistently deliver amazing food each time. I live 20 minutes away and the distance is never a problem when I’m driving and thinking about the food. If I lived closer and had the money, I would definitely eat here everyday.

We got here right after it opened so it was very surprising that it took 50 minutes to get our food…service was extremely slow. As we were leaving another family walked out because it was taking so long.

It’s not a fancy Japanese grill. It’s a small sit down. That said the food is good. Surprisingly, the sushi is fresh and really well prepared. We would go just for the sushi. Since moving here, we have been hunting for good sushi. We have tried a lot of the local suggestions, and we’re not impressed.

Meal was very delicious. Teriyaki chicken poke bowl and sushi were all done well. Staff was friendly and knowledge. While it is in a strip mall there is actually a view of the distance smokies.

If I could rate higher I would! This place has AUTHENTIC Japanese cuisine and flavors! I was so surprised and happy. The ramen broth was so spot on and the rice was perfect. The crab Rangoon was like amazing pillows of joy!
