I never knew I wanted to be cuban until I found mambos. Clean restaurant with plenty of handi friendly tables. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable of menu. Everything on the menu is nothing short of the best representation of a cultural experience. Recommend never passing through Jacksonville without stopping by here

Great and clean atmosphere! The food is incredible, but it helps to bring someone who knows the menu. Careful attention to details were given to food quality and presentation. We all had more than expected and took a lot of food home. There was outside seating and good parking as well as clean restrooms. I highly recommend for anyone not familiar with Cuban cuisine.

Excellent Ropa Vieja with yellow rice and sweet plantains. The empanada basket was nice, especially with beef and guava. Sweet tea will nearly make you diabetic! Excellent service as well.

Went there for lunch today – it was perfect. Clean, friendly, fast, wonderful portion sizes and the food was delicious! Prices were reasonable too! Be sure to get the Cafe Con Leche. It was the best we ever had! This place has you feeling satisfied and well cared for. Keep up the great work!

Food was good until I found two pieces of hair in it. Coffee was great but but a small cup for $4 ? I don’t think so. Last time I came I had a larger cup. Service I was disappointed. When you serve food you should come back a few minutes to see how everything is. There I would have told the waiter there was in my food and asked for another drink. But that didn’t happen.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and both times the food was tasty and service was friendly. They have a good variety of items that you would find at most Cuban restaurants. I had the pork sandwich (pan con lechón), and my wife had their black been soup. Both were flavorful and decent size. The one negative was that the underside of the bread on my sandwich was slightly burnt. You can’t really see it in my picture. A little less time in the sandwich press and it would have been perfect.

Its been a while but picked up a to-go order for dinner. The chicken steak smothered in onions with white rice and black beans and sweet plantains was HUGE, easily enough for 2 and very good, kids grilled chicken was an adult portion, empanadas and yellow rice. Everything was great, and much more food than expected. It won’t be so long until we eat here again!

Ordered a Cuban sandwich and fries with a coke for delivery. My order came in a timely manner, thank you. My sandwich was amazing. The roast pork was super tender, the ham was just sweet enough and the pickles gave it good crunch. The bread is on a whole other level. Very tasty.

Luis is fantastic! He helped my family of four pick delicious meals that allowed us to experience wonderful Cuban flavor. Very clean restaurant—tasty food with large portions. We’ll definitely return. Thanks Luis!
