We waited way too long – a couple of years – to try Black Bear Bar. Now that we finally made it, we can’t wait to return. The BBQ ribs are divine. Not only are they fall off the bone tender, but they are grilled and served with a nice dark crispy char. The sauce is perfect. They have Spotted Cow on draft. Now I can’t wait to try the Bear Burger – 1/4 pound brat patty with a 1/3 pound burger.

First stop on family vacation, the food was awesome! Had Ruben,which else is good or bad. This one was a winner. Kids all enjoyed their meals and the small game space was a great distraction while we waited for our food. Definitely a repeat visit in the books.

The food is always delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly! The last few summers we visited and I have a small dog that cannot be left alone. It’s amazing to find dog friendly places to eat away from a large city!!!! We cant wait to go back

Black Bear Bar & Grill has a reputation for great pizza. We found it to be a bar pizza with thin and very crispy crust. The toppings were tasty, but the sauce was very mild in flavor. They also serve brurgers, sandwiches, ribs and Friday fish.

Always go here when i go to my cottage with my family. It is about 15 minutes away and we always have to stop to have the awesome pizza and ribs. Everything i have tried is amazing, and i definitely recommend. Atmosphere is also great and when i was younger i would always love looking at all the mounted fish and animals. 5 stars!

So if you’re looking for a little bar with great food this is it. I had the fish fry and it was excellent. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Server was super cool and nice. She also gave us some other local recommendations. Overall I think this will be my new Northwood spot.

After being turned away at 3 restaurants in town due to their kitchen closing earlier than usual (7 instead of 8) we ended up at Black Bear. We were pleasantly surprised with the diverse menu. Our waitress, Keara, was one of the best waitresses I’ve, personally, every had. She was friendly and bubbly and quickly made us forget our frustrations in trying to find an open kitchen for dinner. The food was great and the bar has a good selection. We will definitely be back next time we are in town and hopefully we will be able to have Keara serve us again.

Very cool little bar and restaurant! There are a lot of animals on the wall as well as very unique pieces of art. TVs had the Thursday Thunder on ESPN. Wait Staff was kind, patient and very accurate Wings and bear dropping were fantastic! I chose the parmesan garlic dipping sauce! This place has never been a disappointment in over 20 years.
