Don’t let the first impression of their building discourage you from trying this place. What they lack in atmosphere is made up in quality of food, and that’s what really matters anyway. We had pizza. Good, fresh ingredients and good crust. The cheese and sauce were great. I believe the man that took our order was the owner and his daughter was helping also. They were very friendly, helpful, and seemed to appreciate our business. Definitely give them a try the next time you’re in Hannibal.

Great place to eat! I will be honest, the outside of the building and inside decor is not much to look at. And my husband and I would have easily drove by without a second thought based on that. Don’t judge a book by its cover! We ordered the thin crust 10″ 5 topping, which is pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions for the two of us and it was delish! The crust was mmmmm so good. The service was fast and the couple was very polite. Thought about camping in Hannibal, we will definitely make Palermo’s a stop if we do or if just driving through.

Chicken parm isnt bad. Pizza was terrible to say the least. Crust was like old cardboard. Didn’t even finish eating it.

Spaghetti and Meatballs were pretty good, wife had baked ziti which was good as well.. Owners were nice. Definitely not Italian but know how to make Italian food. The building is clean inside as well. We’ll be back.

There was a variety of food choices to please the most picky of kids. The bread for the steak and cheese sandwich, and the pizza dough was amazing!

We dined in. The place is not fancy but very clean. We ordered a hot Italian sub and a regular Stromboli. They were both the best ever. We want to go back again tomorrow for the same! There are only a few tables for dining in and there is nothing fancy to the restaurant’s decor. But both the food and prices are worth the wait. You won’t be dissatisfied if delicious, affordable food is what you’re after.

Food was not bad, and we were glad to find someplace open on the 4th of July!

I treasure Palermo Pizza & Subs as a marvel of small-town individuality. It’s owned and staffed by a dear Indian couple who prove they understand the pizza-and-subs niche of Italian-American food. I’ve only had hot subs and antipasto (= salad) so far, but they are consistently excellent, built with homemade bread, swimming in flavorful sauce and lots of melted cheese. The old storefront facilities are unassuming but very clean. I look forward to trying the two Indian curry offerings some winter evenings to come.
