The best Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich I’ve had. I’ll admit, I haven’t tried them everywhere, but the places I have tried them can’t even come close to touching the flavor packed, perfect meat, cheese, and veggie ratio; and enough to last for a few meals for me. We loved it so much, we returned to buy another round to take home. If you’re nearby, don’t miss out!!!

I stopped by @closing time, As I was heading out, CJ called me back, said he could still serve me. I ordered a Brisket Sandwich. It was Devine, some of the best I’ve had in a long time ! The Brisket was so good, spicy BBQ sauce really awesome, just a little bite, not overpowering, all on a Kiser roll that held up to the very generous portion of mouth watering Brisket !

Cheese steak was good, enough for 3-4 ppl to eat. Mac n cheese was good. Ribs were very good and flavorful. Brisket sandwich had too much sauce, so next time I would get sauce on the side and do it myself.

Great take out food. Just know they do run out. So getting there earlier will be better than later. Pork ribs are large meaty yet as their namesake implies, very tender. The same with the brisket. No chewing request. Great sauce to accompany the meat. One of the weekends I came Chef was experimenting with some Caribbean wings. Let’s say I hope that becomes a regular on the menu. I will visit again.

The beef brisket was very flavorful and delicious. The spare ribs were flavorful. They were tender but not too off bone. I like the texture. Hubby loves the phily cheese steak. I am not the fan so I didn’t eat it. The employee was very friendly and patient. Plenty parking at the front door. Recommend!

Where do I start, the chef Philadelphia cheesesteak was packed with meat cheese fried onions and peppers it was flavorful season perfectly juicy and tender chopped most important delicious. But it doesn’t stop there we got the brisket sandwich and get the spicy sauce which is a barbecue sauce with a kick but not too hot. Super tender Fall apart brisket that will blow your mind. We got some french fries and one order will feed two people and for $3 this is a steal. Don’t forget to try the lavender sweet tea and the delicious cornbread. We drove an hour to get here from Northeast Philadelphia and it was way worth the drive.

Because the Famous Dave’s near us had closed down for good a while ago, we decided it was time to find a new BBQ place in the area to fill that space. After a google search, I found a few options that looked promising, and chose this one to try first because it wasn’t far from us. Unfortunately, the experience was less than stellar. First it took over an hour to get our food… ordered online around 6:45pm for pickup, was supposed to be ready by 7:30, arrived around 7:40, and I watched my poor hubby putter around inside until about 8:13pm when he finally came out with the food. He looked pretty irritated and told me how their service was lacking. No one greeted or acknowledged him for a while, didn’t explain anything about why it was taking so long or give any apologies. One person even walked in, made an order, then walked out with their food while we were still waiting. After all that, some of the food was good, while some was very underwhelming… hubs pork sandwich was too fatty, the $8 burger I ordered was very thin, dry, overcooked, and charred, with no flavor. I added some bbq sauce I had at home to add a little flavor and moisture to it, which made it edible but not too enjoyable. I’d rather eat a burger from Burger King or McDonald’s which are cheaper and much tastier. The dirty rice and cornbread were good, but I’m not going there just for the sides. I expected more from a place with so many good reviews that I just feel so disappointed and let down in choosing to eat here. It makes us miss Famous Dave’s even more, which had both good food and service. Next time we want bbq, we’ll find another place to try to fill our need, but unfortunately it won’t be Tenderbones. Sorry, won’t be returning.

Mom and I are regulars when it comes to Fried Fish Fridays! Popped by on Friday for our usual. We thought they were closing at 9pm (Google has the time listed incorrectly…summer hours haven’t started yet), when we pulled up it was a few mins to 8pm (the real closing time) and they were nice enough to accommodate us. As usually the fish was on point!!! Mom also got ribs, which she said were finger licking good!

This is NOT a fast food restaurant. If you want your meal in under 10 minutes you will be disappointed; I highly recommend calling ahead. On to the review. I did not know the first sentence to be true before walking in so I ended up waiting 40 minutes for my 4 Bones Spicy (sauce on the side), Mac & cheese, cornbread, fries. Chef Bones was so nice to the walk in customers because obviously we didn’t know about the wait time. He blessed me with a taste of his stores “Sweet Tea” and ALL of the waiting customers with a complimentary sample of the fresh fried fish he serves on Fridays (always whiting) and man was it GOOD! I wish I could give this restaurant more than 3 stars though. Things that led to my rating are: my order came back wrong (didn’t know this until I got home). The sauce was not on the side as I ordered but rather slathered all over my Bones and it was too sweet for my taste. Having lived in the south you realize that GREAT ribs don’t need sauce but it’s rather a light compliment to the ribs and because the sauce was too sweet for my taste I literally ended up throwing 2 away. They were gigantic though so that was great a nice healthy portion. Also the ribs didn’t have enough smoke on em. They tasted like they had been baked and then maybe put on a grill vs. smoked in a smoker. Nor were my ribs spicy as I ordered. The absolute best part of my meal was the cornbread (kinda small though) and my Mac & cheese. Also the online combos are not offered in the store. Maybe they will later but I looked online first but when I went to order they said it wasn’t available. PLEASE don’t let my review discourage you. This is a new business and I absolutely will be visiting them again. They just need to find there footing and get their sea legs. I think all new businesses go through this at some point. The customer service inside this establishment is what will make me come back again. I’m rooting hard for this place.
