This McDonald’s, located in the Barracks Road shopping center, has a University of Virginia theme, with photos of different parts of the campus. Service is usually pretty good but today I ran into a glitch. As shown in one of the photos, they had no carbonated beverages and their frappe machine was broken. Sometimes the McDonald’s app requires you to place a prepaid mobile order to get a discount (e.g., 20% off). So I ordered a caramel frappe in advance through the app only to discover they weren’t able to make any. I had no choice but to go inside the restaurant and request a refund. The associate at the register was very nice but he did not know how to process a refund, so it took awhile. That’s been my biggest issue with the app, placing a mobile order only to find the restaurant can’t fill part of it, which means you have to go through hoops to get your money back.

I don’t visit this McDonald’s often but each time I do my order is incorrect every single time. I don’t know what is or why they can’t get it right. It’s not that hard. I won’t be going back ever again because it’s just sad to experience this every single time like it never fails and I know i can’t be the only one to go through this. Get it together McDonald’s!!!!

Terrible service! Waited forever for food and it was cold and nasty! No ice in ice machine. Employees were rude and moved like snails. Did the online survey. Said you would receive a free mac-chicken bacon ranch sandwich if you bought one. When I tried to do that with the confirmation code. They said that they did not serve that anymore. The McDonald brothers would be totally disgusted with this new b******* system. Employees want 15.00 an hr an do the job poorly. Not worth 3.00 per hour! Barracks Road Charlottesville Virginia.

The worst McDonald’s in town. I’ve wasted my money here too many times. Service is usually not friendly, and orders are frequently given out with terrible quality. I’ve received burnt nuggets that have clearly been in the warmer too long, and fries that aren’t even hot when you receive them too many times to even be surprised by it anymore. This is a busy location because of the university nearby, and it seems like the staff just doesn’t have the energy (or the number of employees) to do a good job.

Beutiful window Girl threw my change at my hand….she missed. Now my money is on the ground, I can’t open my door to get it even if I wasn’t in crutches. Pulling forward only puts the car behind me parked over my change. There is no Accountability, even at McDonalds.

The whole experience was terrible, from the ordering to the food to the waiting. The hamburgers had been cooked and then heated up, hence the dryness, and the bun was not even warm. I saw only one person at the grills but did not smell anything cooking. If I wanted a microwaved meal, I would have come home with some ramen noodles!!!

The food was tired and cold. I rarely eat fast food anywhere unless I travel and have no choice. This place was scraping the bottom of the barrel regarding food quality. It’s McDonald’s, though. I have low expectations of quality.
