This is the only Chinese food restaurant in Candler where I live, so my family has eaten food from here many times. I personally am not a fan of Chinese food. My husband loves the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice & that’s what he had today. We both had egg rolls & I also had egg fried rice. The egg roll did not sit well with my stomach. The kitchen is very chaotic & service is a bit less than friendly. There are dine-in tables, bit they are always grubby & it is not a nice place to relax, as they are right by the door & usually filled with people waiting on their takeout. There are restrooms, but I have never used them. Plenty of free parking, as this is located at Westridge shopping center, near the Food Lion.

Not very good. Fried rice is yellow. No seasoning on the chicken. Won ton soup taste like egg drop soup. Egg roll tasted old. Couldn’t finish my meal.

Great place. Orders are generally quick, and if you’re worried you can call ahead. Price is very reasonable, and often you get a heavy portion for what you pay. Good authentic Chinese food. Personally recommend the Crab Rangoon.

Tried a new restaurant and this one failed. While I will say the portions were very reasonable, the food was not good at all. Spring rolls were overcooked and greasy. The main dishes were mushy. Threw most of it out.

I have been here many times. This is one of my favorite places for take out food on this side of town. They have loads and loads of menu options, probably 200 or so. Always timely, call 10 minutes ahead, walk in , pay and pick up that’s it. Seating, restaurant and bathrooms are dismissal. But the prices, choices, quality and speed are top notch and can’t be ignored.

I’ve come here several times over the last decade (Candler native) and each time interaction with staff/owner has been rude/curt/short. My husband went to pick up our online order tonight and came back in a noticeably different mood than when he left. So I know it’s not just me (and by other reviews!). They also left crab Rangoon off our order, so I called to let them know. They asked if I would like to come back and get it which I replied no, I would prefer a refund for that item. That obviously annoyed whoever I spoke to. Well, include all of my order then, that’s not on us. No apology, no cares given. Once she got my card information to refund, click. They have the slogan “best Chinese food in Candler” – only Chinese food in Candler, actually. There’s a buffet down the road, right before Smokey Park Hwy meets Patton Avenue, and that’s considered Asheville. So that’s why they get to make the claim. As for the food, I got steak fried rice, very salty. We got an order of lo mein which wasn’t appetizing at all. Some egg rolls that I took one bite of and wouldn’t take another. My husbands sesame chicken was pretty good. Who knows about the crab Rangoon. I probably wouldn’t have left a review at all had the customer service been there. That goes pretty far for me. But that and lack of an apology, well, here I am. I doubt we will be back. My stomach already hurts from the small amount of dinner I actually did eat.
