Old school breakfast cafe in downtown Danville. It’s wonderful to see lots of big tables, full of neighbors chatting and enjoying breakfast. The place is so much bigger than it looks from the outside. The menu is huge and everything isn’t homemade here. Their biscuits are wonderful, fluffy and cooked perfectly. I had french toast and it was yummy. Out there breakfasts are healthy portions and great prices. Highly recommend stopping here for a bite.

Great diner atmosphere with a good selection of traditional diner fare and special menu items. I was there for breakfast. My order was simple but it was cooked to order and delicious!

Love this place. On a day that every restaurant within 3 counties was either out of power or so busy you couldn’t get in the parking lot, we managed to get a spot here. The ladies kept the breakfast buffet full and the coffee coming. I was afraid they would have you packed in like sardines but there was plenty of wiggle room after you were seated. The food was delicious, and after spending almost two hours searching for a place where power was still out to half the area, a well stocked buffet was exactly what we needed. The employees were all friendly and helpful, even with my grumpy 10 year old. We will definitely be back even if it is a bit of a drive.

We each got a burger and fries. The fries were delicious. The burger was over cooked so let them know if you prefer a medium burger. Quaint cafe with lots of charm. They offer a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday till 1:30pm.

Went to Red Rooster for lunch with family and the waitress was so friendly and sweet. I don’t remember her name, but she said she used to live in Key West. Food was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will be back!

Overall a good meal. I ordered the 2 by 2 by 2. 2 Pancakes, 2 Eggs over medium and 2 slices of Bacon and I also added a Biscuit. The bacon and eggs were pretty straight forward and the pancakes didn’t taste bad but were pretty thick making them filling but not as sweet. The Biscuit was perfect. Very light and cooked well. Food -3

We’ve been there dozens of times but this was the last time. I was totally humiliated in front of the whole restaurant. We went for the buffet which was only mediocre. We were told the deserts went with the meal. They were displayed in to go containers. We each picked 1 out and proceeded to the check out. Just to be confronted by a waitress saying we couldn’t take it with. In front of the whole resturant. WHY does it matter where you eat it? We paid for a whole meal. It wasn’t like we were trying to get something for free. I’ll never again recommend this place or go to it. SHAME ON Y’ALL FOR BEING PETTY!

I had the breaded tenderloin mashed potatoes and pinto beans and cornbread and to be honest with you the mashed potatoes was cold. And the cornbread was good but it was about the size of a silver dollar. The waitress name was Jessica and she did a wonderful job. This was the first time I’ve been there I will try it again if I’m back down that way.

Our second time there. The staff are all very inviting and the food is really good down home southern cooking.
