Very cozy place, great food, very nice people. Sushi is very good and well done, great presentation and portion size. Price is not bad, with some discount on some days. They have hibachi and table service, all with great service. The decorations are very nice and not too busy. A must go place for sushi, hibachi and other menu items.

This is my new favorite restaurant, highly recommend their Sushi. The food’s quality, price, quantitiy is good! Moreover, the enviornment and service attitude is awesone, it makes me feel very relax. Especially recommended to visit on Tuesday because all sushi roll are half price. Furthermore, the hibachi chicken every morning cost 6.99 only, sometimes when im lazy this is the best choice for breakfast for someone like me! Ps. the decorations of the food looks very beautiful!

My son wanted to take me out for a nice dinner and not at some chain restaurant, rather at a nice and unique restaurant. They had a diverse menu and the staff were very knowledgeable, attentive to detail , checked with us if all was as we wanted, but never hurried us.

Ok, let me say Atami is excellent. A great addition to Hickory Flat. Has an hibachi section, new interior design, new ownership and staff. I was surprised it was not packed and can only attribute this to folks not knowing about the changes. Try it. You will like it!

I ordered 4 different sushi options for pickup. All had tuna in some shape or form. I have to say, this is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The spicy tuna was “mush”. It is the best way I can explain it. It looked and tasted like canned tuna with spices. Every roll was extremely “fishy”. I have no clue how old this fish was, but after just a few bites I couldn’t stomach any more. It’s sad when the sushi you can buy at Kroger is better than a restaurant. Lesson learned.

The sevice was unprofessional and nonchalant. I purchased spring rolls, which comes with four per order, and the spring rolls we bite size like a party snack or like the mini-spring rolls you can buy at Costco or Sam’s Club. However these spring rolls were the worst I’ve ever ordered because they had no vegetable inside; they were hollow and mostly bread. I would have preferred to pay more or received less spring rolls to be able to bite into a real meal size order and taste the cabbage and other flavors. These tasted like gooey dough, and you could pop the whole thing in your mouth in its entirety. On another note, too many workers and the worker children were hanging out in the front lobby of the restaurant. I called to complain, but they did not seem to sincerely be concerned. Well, I think this is my last time patronizing this restaurant. I suggest you avoid going to Atami Gril & Sushi Canton. You will not be treated friendly nor will you get a real dinner portion to enjoy. They are playing games with the servings so avoid going here. BEWARE!!!

Don’t order doordash they take their sweet time and make the dashers late every time, if your a dasher don’t take orders or you will be waiting 15 minutes past ur delivery time even on a slow day. Save urself some time
