Found this takeout restaurant while on our way to the beach. We stopped and ordered POG juices, fried rice, hungry Hawaiian plate and of course their famous banana pancakes. For a Saturday morning the wait wasn’t bad at all, maybe 15 minutes at most. The food was still warm when we got to the beach and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying them at least once if you are near there while visiting Oahu!

Food came out quick and it was all pretty well done. My eggs were the slightest bit under. Potatoes could be crisper. Hard to mess up breakfast foods so I took away a star. Had Portuguese sausage for the first time and it was delicious. Fried rice was pretty good though.

Great comfort food, unfortunately they no longer have a dine in option. A must stop when in the North Shore

From the Movie 50 first Dates, food was good, but no sitting is available it’s all order and go, and yes I ordered spam and eggs

Came well recommended from a friend, and we arrived hungry. It is definitely a “hole in the wall”, we stood in the street to order, and waited in the street for the same order. Service was adorable and responsive. My wife even plied for the “secret ingredient” and engaged a fun conversation. I tried the Loco Moco which is a local favorite, and I LOVE gravy which is a primary ingredient for Loco Moco. Overall, the food was ok. The ambiance was a street. Probably won’t repeat.

This place was delicious. Highly recommend the pancakes. Whatever they’re putting in this batter it’s so right.

Just what I expected. Super friendly workers. Fair prices. Solid food to fill up without the frills. The mini loco Moco was perfect for me. Would have needed the regular size to feed me and my husband. He couldn’t even finish his corned beef hash with potatoes and egg and rice. But it made a good snack later in the day! Great place for classic loco grindz in Laie.

We were staying just up the street, so we ordered breakfast from here multiple times. It is still takeout only, so you stand in line to order, then pay when your order is ready, and they only take cash. The lines can be long, but it’s hit and miss. It never took more than maybe 15 minutes to get our food. Also, for those wondering, there isn’t anywhere to sit and eat your food, so plan to take it somewhere to eat (Hukilau Beach Park is just across the street.)

Obviously we knew going into it that this would not look anything like the movies, but no inside seating was a real experience killer. The spam wasn’t quite seared enough but the food was kinda good. The corned beef hash tasted like it was straight out of a can and barely warm. Definitely a tourist trap, but if you are thinking about checking it out because of the movie, you can pass and not miss anything.

Food was decent. Bacon could’ve been a bit crisper, my toast was also forgotten, still was given jam though oddly enough.
