Omg…I’m stuffed! This is the best food we have had this weekend. We ordered the 20 piece fried shrimp meal, a small philly cheese steak, and my husband ordered 1 piece of the fried flounder. Everything was delicious. The batter on the shrimp was light and seasoned well and the fries were tasty too. The philly was flavorful with bell peppers, onions and cheesy as we like it.

Wow. This is definitely a local secret place to eat off I-10. Got here by accident and was extremely pleased. We ate in. My child who doesnt like to eat asked to take his remaining food to go. Fresh, flavorful, good portions, and fair pricing. I was barely out the parking lot when i was like pin this location to come back (im from out of state) so i decided to review.

we were looking for a place to eat that wasn’t packed so we drove around until we found Golden Hooks. It had very few cars in the parking lot so we turned in. I must say I was not impressed. The floors felt sticky when we walked to our table. The food had NO flavor at all. I had to use so much salt on my chicken tenders and fries and in the end it was still tasteless… I ended up throwing away 2 of the 3 tenders I ordered along with the soggy fries. They need to season there chicken and even season the flour they are breading in. I realize now why they were the only place at 12 noon that wasn’t busy. I feel that if they were to actually season the food then this place will do pretty good because the price and the amount of food you get are a good deal and the staff is friendly. They just need some work in the seasoning department.
