Natives of Louisiana, the Donovan Family seeks to bring their family’s recipes from the Bayou to the Deep South. Featuring Cajun classics such as red beans and rice, oysters and crawfish, Cajun Boys & Our Poboys has something for the entire family. From the purple, gold and green decorations to the smell of beignets frying in the back, this restaurant has everything someone would expect to find in the French Quarter. And that’s exactly what the Donavon family wanted to deliver to the local community.

1/2 alligator sausage and chicken & sausage gumbo was AMAZING. The gator wasn’t super spicy by itself and you could get the flavor of the meat. ONE OF THE BEST GUMBOS IVE EVER HAD!!!! oh yeah, the server was super friendly and food was out Pronto. Definitely recommend!!!!

Really enjoyed my lunch here of fried oyster basket and jambalaya! The oysters were cooked perfect, small but delicious! The location is really cool and I noticed the sandwiches looked great at the nearby tables!

We ate here for Mother’s Day for our first time and loved it. They gave mothers their meals for half price which was a very nice gesture. I had the alligator po-boy which was unique and perfectly cooked. The waiter was very friendly and quite humorous. We would definitely go back.

Just ate lunch here and noticed there were 666 reviews, so HAD to do one for them and get it off that number. My wife and I had lunch here today and the place thoroughly impressed us. Clean and roomy, TV’s all over the place, fully stocked bar and prompt service. Food came out quickly and was served piping hot. Robert was an efficient and pleasant server and the food tasted like it was made from scratch with fresh ingredients by people who care. Excellent red beans & rice, gumbo and shrimp. We will definitely be eating here again soon and bringing some of our family! Can’t wait to try more of their menu.

Having spent a lot of my younger life down on the bayou, I recognize good authentic Cajun food! This place is legit! Oyster po-boy and ice cold beer were a delight!

Good place to sit down and and have a meal, either alone or in a group. I enjoyed the poboy sandwiches best, my only complaint was don’t off Patton sausage, if you don’t have any in the kitchen. If you’re out and about stop in for lunch.
