Family and I came to try a new spot and 1928 was highly recommended. Walking in its very clean with friendly staff. By far best spanish spot in Jax hands down. Empanadas are full of meat and flavor.Queso frito was bite sized fried cheese that was delicious and expect the cheese to be a nice creamy and goey flavor melting as you pull it away from your mouth

I had an amazing experience at 1928 Cuban Bistro! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the decor was lovely. The menu had a great selection of authentic Cuban dishes and drinks, and everything we ordered was delicious. The Ropa Vieja and Cuban Sandwich were both highlights, and the Flan for dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend 1928 Cuban Bistro for anyone looking for a great Cuban dining experience in Jacksonville!

Tasty Tuesday was delightfully spent enjoying a great meal today! Ordered the “Desayuno Caballero” and a pineapple soda. Food was delicious, fresh and tasty. Excellent service by the entire staff. Shoutout to Cynthia for great service with a smile. Dining area was comfy and clean. Was nice to see other customers arrive excited to order their food to dine in and takeout. Looking forward to my next meal already!

Cuban sandwiches are delicious, as are the fried potato balls, croquettes, pastries, plantains. Salads were a little overpriced, but tasty. Not many vegetarian options.

There is something for everyone at 1928 Cuban Bistro, especially if you don’t mind being a little adventurous. The restaurant is small, very clean and has an outside seating area. It can get busy during the lunch rush, so don’t come if you are on a tight deadline as sandwiches are made to order. If you have a few minutes, you will be treated to a nice lunch.

Went to 1928 Cuban Bistro yesterday and was craving a good sandwich, a Malta and conservation. They definitely delivered what I was looking for. As soon as you enter the beautiful girls greet you with warm smiles and help you with any questions you have. The music is on point, and the place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

There aren’t many Cuban restaurants in Jax so I appreciate this place. It’s clean and the staff are friendly. I’ve tried 1928 twice now. Once when they first opened and again today. Both times I got the Cuban sandwich. I think it’s alright..it needs to be improved. The pork was dry and flavorless. Definitely overpriced for the quality. If they can fix the pork then it’ll be good. I also tried their guava and cheese pastry and both times it was really good. I’m debating if I should try something else from their menu next time or just stick to their coffee & pastries.

Nice little place. Service was a bit slow when I went and I thought food was a little bland tbh. I got the Cuban sandwich, yuca fries, Havana salad and the rice/beans cup. It could be that I just didn’t order the right stuff but I figured you couldn’t go wrong with the Cuban sandwich. I’ll have to try the pastries next time
