Great catfish! Fresh food! The fried squash was amazing. Service was on point. HOWEVER, don’t ask for substitutions cause the chef was pretty angry and vocal about it. All they had to say was “I’m sorry we can’t do that”? Other than that it was a great place to eat while in Lake Wales.

Visited today for the first time. All the staff was friendly and our food came very quickly. I ordered two eggs with country fried steak and it was very good. 50’s/60’s style atmosphere. Would go again.

My wife and I had a great dinner here. Great atmosphere and excellent service. We both had the special, beef ravioli with salad and garlic bread. It was very good and prices were fair. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. We spoke with the owner as we were leaving and thanked him for the meals. He was very humble and likable. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly and hope this business is able to survive through this difficult time of pandemic fears and financial hardships. Unfortunately a bad experience. The only thing that was good was the waitress even though she got drink order wrong. Salad served was frozen . Main meal was a huge portion of Shrimp Alfredo but had a peculiar foul odor. Taste was even worse. We didn’t eat it. The place definitely needs an uplift. Broken shades etc. Looks like at one time it was a happening place. The waitress and gentlemen at the check out stand was very nice about our issue and there was no charge. We won’t go back….

Wow! What a place. Getting harder and harder to find a family restaurant. Definitely a winner. Had clam strips and my brother had the catfish. Both were quite a bit better than expected even after the waitress (daughter of the owner) talked up the catfish as being famous. Clam strips were battered in house and were amazing.

This was terrible we sat down just long enough to order drinks and then left. The place looked run down and there was a man behind the counter on a chair wouldn’t say nothing he just kepted on looking at us giving us dirty looks. I told my husband I’m not eating hear let’s go.

Save yourself some money of pepto bismol and tums. This is by far the worst place to go for food. Waitresses were great. Food was horrible! There were a few regulars there, turned out to be snowbirds. Nobody with a taste bud in their body would venture here. Burgers smelled like old fish, tasted like something they found laying in the ditch.
