Food was delicious. Salmon was a little over spiced. But cooked perfectly. Grilled shrimp flavor was awesome. Redfish plate could have been bigger for the price, but was absolutely cooked to perfection. Wanted more of that definitely. Mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed veggies were a great side. Our waitress was fantastic. She’s only been working there a week but she is the best!! We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.

We wanted down home country cooking and this place did not disappoint. It’s so good we went back the next night. All food entrees were excellent, reasonably priced, and the service was great. The food had large portions, contained a diverse selection, and homemade sauces. We especially loved the ribeye beef tips over rice daily special. On Friday night they had karaoke. It has a Texas decor and country feel, with large wooden tables and chairs. Highly recommended.

Very nice clean restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. Waiter was great! Started the meal off with jalapeno poppers, which is a really good choice! The food arrived quickly and hot! I had the hamburger on a jalapeno cheese bun. My wife had the chicken fried steak. We were pleased with our meals. Good tasting, nice portions and decent prices. We had a coupon on the back of our HEB receipt so the appetizer was half price! We would go back.

Our server Sarah was very nice. This establishment is clean. Listening to country music was so relaxing. Now as to the meal. It was delicious!! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a hawaiian bread, My husband ordered the swiss mushroom burger both meals were exceptional. We did have a wait on our food and our server explained to us they had a big order before ours. It was worth the wait.

When you goto a restaurant called Texas Traditions you expect homestyle generous portions. I ordered Jacked Chicken which cost $17.99. What I received was half a small thin cut chicken breast with a little cheese a onion and bacon on top. It was tasty as were the small scoops mashed potatoes and green beans that came with the dish. But, the portions made me wonder if the accountants were running the kitchen. The service was friendly but very slow. We may have caught them on a bad night because they had an event going on in back, but it took a long time to get my tiny little meal. The accountants theme was also evident a checkout because the have a surcharge for paying with a credit card. My advice to management is to know your market. You have good food but you’re too focused on short term profit. The other half of the spit chicken breast and a generous sides would have completely changed this review and might have cost you $1.50 in actual food cost. Penny wise and pound foolish costs you this return customer.
