I’ve lived in LA for over 10 years and have eaten at many sushi restaurant’s foods. However, there has never been a sushi restaurant where the food is as delicious and fresh as here. The sashimi was thick and fresh and had a savory taste, and other dishes also gave me new and special tastes that were different from what I knew.

First time eating here. It was a decision made on a whim and we didn’t make reservation. We managed to get a bar seat.

Stopped by for lunch while in Totem Lake and am overjoyed by the experience. Single restroom options. Chef’s flavors on point and food variety with super fresh seafood. Well done.

Starting with the good. The server here was incredibly attentive. Almost too much so. They were eager and happy to help at all times. The atmosphere is relaxing, everything from the plating to the painting was well thought out. The only problem is, this is a restaurant, so the food should be the most important part. And the food was disappointing, it was among the smallest sushi rolls I have ever seen. Which made it hard to enjoy. The quality of the rolls was also compatible to a relatively cheap belt sushi place. In terms of food, not worth the money.

Delicious sushi and diverse appetizer choices. Menu isn’t very big but has clearly been selected with care. Seating area is spacious and the sushi bar allows a great view of the chefs at work.

We were excited to try out a nicer sushi restaurant on the Eastside. Fish seemed fresh but the flavors were a bit on the lighter side for me. I think the premium handroll with fatty tuna was the best thing we ordered. Service was attentive and fast but it also wasn’t very crowded.

1. For a vegetarian, not an amazing sushi experience, roll is bland as nothing special

All ingredients are of high quality, sushi is the best way to taste the freshest of the seafood, not overpriced, portion just right. But the sauce for some hot dishes such as spicy oysters n fish collar is too salty, can make it much lighter.

This place deserves a much higher rating than it has. All the raw fish is so fresh and delicious. Very high quality. Also the best California roll I’ve had in a while. I love their take on spicy tuna roll as well
