I stopped in asking if there was a barbecue restaurant around because I had caught the scent of smoked meat outside but there wasn’t. I was kindly presented a menu at the entrance and the steak burrito looked appealing. I had the one smothered in green sauce. I chose to eat inside thinking it might be a little cooler in mid July for lunch but I was surprised there were lots of empty seats and all of the doors and windows were open yet it was a comfortable 70F. Passersby began filtering in as it started an abrupt downpour. Those out under the canopies and umbrella tables laughed as their table service became drenched. The staff promptly adjusted them for the sudden weather change. It was a delightful lunch with authentic mexican appeal and service. The food was delicious, especially the appetizer of bean sauce dip. Although the burrito was slightly different than I had expected the steak in it tasted good. They have a pleasant courtyard and nearby areas where you might expect to see musicians in the evening. I ate alone but I may go back one day with my family.

Decent Mexican food, but it’s pricey. $24 for two fried shrimp tacos with no additional sides, at least they grilled it for me after I asked. I also ordered a side as an add-on, but they forgot about it and then charged it as a separate side afterward. The service and food were decent, but not sure it was worth it.

As a local to the area, this place is my favorite for so many reasons. The staff is extremely kind (shout out to Manu, the manager!) & the food is always great quality. I’ve tried multiple items from a few of their menus now & everything has been delicious. Plus, the prices are the best on Main Street. So many restaurants on Main Street charge ridiculous prices for mediocre food. If I could give Don Gallo more than 5 stars here, I would!!!

We enjoyed our dining experience at Don Goyo. Friendly and attentive staff. Good food. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he mentioned the Volcano. There was a generous portion of beef and cheese on the tostadas. The homemade guacamole/green sauce on it was good. My dining partners another chose the volcano, one chose the meatballs, and one the stew. The dishes on the menu represent authentic Mexican fare (the owners are originally from Mexico City). Everyone liked their dishes. Next time one of my friends mentioned they might choose a dish they were more familiar with (eg fajitas or enchiladas). The large chips (akin to Indian popadoms) and salsas to begin were great. The Cadillac margaritas were good too.

It was my first time in park city and my friends and I were unsure where to eat. I got the fish tacos and they were phenomenal! The best I’ve ever had. The guacamole appetizer was delicious, complete with mango and full of flavor. Our server, Manuel, was attentive, friendly, and gave my friends excellent dinner recommendations. We will be back!

Okay Mexican food, but overly expensive. Shared the chicken fajitas – the peppers and onions were decent, but the chicken lacked seasoning. The service was good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance, but the food was mid.

Really great food. Large menu and interesting selection. We tried a lot of different things. The steak and Molé were great. Definitely more on the authentic side versus tex mex. Try them out!

Don Gallo is a gem that stands out in Park City. The combination of great upscale Mexican food, very friendly staff, and more reasonable price points make this restaurant a value no longer found on Main Street. I have grown tired of the other town restaurants with $50+ entrees that can’t match the dining experience of their exorbitant menu prices. Don Gallo is now my go to spot for an enjoyable lunch or evening out. Suggested selections– Salmon with Black Mole, Sopes Pipián, and a side of the special house habanero (very) hot sauce.
