Valentines day nightmare. Friends and I waited an hour to get our sushi (2 orders of sushi sashimi for two) after being seated and we had to wait for a check, listening to their phone ringing for at least 20 min because no one bothered to pick it up. All of my friends wanted to cut the phone cord at the end.

Wonderful casual byob sushi place in Montclair. Service was extremely attentive and friendly, and food was very good and well priced. We even ordered a few higher end sushi pieces like raw shrimp and enjoyed it very much. They also offer a discount if you pay with cash which is great. I will definitely be back again for a weekend lunch or casual dinner.

Went here yesterday with a friend for lunch and the server was extremely friendly and checked up on us every so often. I recommend the toro sushi as it was fresh and tasted amazing. Definitely coming back again as the overall experience was amazing.

This place has really fallen off. They were once excellent, I mean really great. Now, they serve brown avocado and give you a pinky nail piece of Wasabi. And their rolls are more expensive than their competition. I brought an important client there because I thought they would still be awesome. Man, was I wrong.

If you are looking for Authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi, this is the place to go! The staff is amazingly nice and quick at their service. Some may say the wait is long, I disagree as you must realize it takes the chef and sushi master to do what they do best, and that’s a quality dish. I ordered their special black snapper which was one of the most memorable dishes I had in long time. Fresh and delicious along with the other sashimi dish I ordered. I would recommend this place to any and all my friends.

Toro changed my life. It was back in 2022 that I had entered into a coma. The doctors tried everything. It was Toro’s spicy Kani salad and Congo roll that woke me up from my coma. Life changing. Toro sushi is an excellent restaurant with a comforting atmosphere. Arianna was a phenomenal waitress as well.
