The Eclipse if the Pearl was a wonderful early dinner experience. The location and service were fantastic (thanks to Lindsay). There was a rather loud crowd around the bar that made it hard to hear anything, but that didn’t deter my enjoyment too much. I had the Pomegranate Margarita, Lobster Alfredo, and a Caesar salad.

We have always enjoyed Eclipse. The food is delicious. We got a great table in the corner. We will be back! Special shout out to Chris for great service!

Been going to rockland for 20+ years around lobster festival road race. Went by after race and had a great time. Ended up booking dinner a few days later and it didn’t disappoint. We had a party of 16 and all were very happy with their food. The waitress was great and the view was also perfect. 5 stars all the way. Larry Bird would be proud.

Really enjoyed the fresh seafood, calamari and lobster on top of beet salad. Service was friendly and thoughtful (brought my daughter ketchup unprompted). We ate on the pier so I can comment on the inside, but props to the heavy duty tent keeping us out of the wind and intimidating the seagulls!

The experience at the Eclipse is authentic. Directly on the water, enjoy excellent seafood along with landlubber fare. Best haddock tacos you can find in Rockland.

The little hidden pearl is a celebration of the Maine palate. The food is amazing, fresh, plated beautifully. The service is exceptional. The wait is true to what is reported and worth every second. They are open on days when much of Rockland is not. The quintessential Maine Lobster Roll on a toasted brioche bun? The best around. Worth the trip!

We arrived for lunch and before we even got to the door, we were greeted by guy with a hat that I would say seems to be manager or owner??, with a nasty toned “just so you know, there’s a 45 minute wait”… apparently much like the couple before us, as they shared a similar experience. On our way out after lunch, I overheard him again being rude to customers that arrived, because they were closing soon for a staff meeting. The restaurant, our waiter and food were good, but do you want to be in the restaurant business for long? If so, I would suggest a totally different, more tactful approach with customers that want to eat, drink, and be merry. I am local and easy to please, wait till the tourists show up and get treated like that!!

This is a great place for an early dinner in Rockland. The lobster roll is delicious (so good the “Maine Way”), but definitely do not miss the fries here – best fries I’ve had in a while! We ate here twice in the week we stayed.
