Der Braumeister has some tasty German food. Come extra hungry because all the meals here are very hearty! Four stars solely because it’s missing that extra flavor to really knock it out of the park to warrant that perfect score. I do recommend to visit! Great service!

As a German enthusiast this is my favorite place to grab an authentic German beer- No other Cleveland restaurant has a better variety! The fish fry is always fantastic as well as the ever changing menu full of traditional German-style dishes with a contemporary spin. I always enjoy the local & friendly vibe for a happy hour or cozy meal which makes it easy to support this family owned small business.

We have visited many German Restaurants and this was definitely one of our favorites! The food was delicious. We loved the extensive beer list and the exceptional service too! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Cleveland! Thank you all too for being so respectful of the Service Dog and automatically giving us the corner table.

One word, UGH! Wow where to start? As I’m walking in, a stern looking woman standing guard asked me if she can help me. Startled, I responded that I would like to eat and drink something (what else would I go to a restaurant for?) Seems like friendliness and hospitality is unknown at this establishment. The atmosphere and look of this place is old, dark, dismal, run-down and smelly. Definitely not upbeat like its competitors that have nice lighting and German folk music playing. The building’s facade outside actually looks pretty good and promises more than the inside has to offer. Was by myself and got seated at the bar, fine. Bartender is lukewarm at best. Good draft selection, $8 a beer, no happy hour pricing. Ok, talking about the food now. I’m born and raised in Germany and know a thing or two about German food. Long story short, worst Jaeger schnitzel I ever had! Unbreaded, lukewarm filet of pork (gross), flavourless gravy and mushy spätzle.Lousy food for $18! You can get better food than that at any train station in Germany! I also had better food in hospital cafeterias. Do yourself a favor and go to the Schnitzel Haus in Parma or to the Hofbrauhaus in downtown Cleveland.

If you like German food, you have to try this place. The food was excellent and the service was stellar. As for atmosphere, it’s more of a neighborhood bar than a restaurant feel, but there’s nothing wrong with that, especially when you get food this good.

Delicious, yummy food, and the service was outstanding. Every single server, which I think included the chef, was very attentive without being intrusive, exactly the right balance. One person called my kids by the pet names *I* use for them, which surprisingly comfortable, she made us feel like family.

I love the schnitzel here. It’s very good. You can tell the owner is passionate about beer. The 12 beers of Christmas is one of the best parts of the restaurant. The selection is phenomenal. The owner is super knowledgeable of the beer as well. Just overall a great experience. Come here to enjoy authentic German beer!
