Type : Japanese restaurant

Location : Alpharetta, GA

Established in 2015.

Eric has dedicated his life to creating the perfect bowl of ramen. After being a chef for 20 years, Eric traveled the beautiful islands of Japan to find the perfect ramen recipe. His travels concluded with him falling in love with the thick, rich and creamy broth of tonkotsu ramen. Eric decided to open his first Slurpin Ramen Bar in the heart of Los Angeles. After tantalizing the taste buds of every customer that walked through those doors, a second location in City of Industry opened to spread the love of tonkotsu ramen.

Our FAVORITE Ramen bar is fabulous! Tried this new place in Alpharetta, in what was the old Haynes Bridge/Old Milton Starbucks location and LOVED everything about the experience! First, there’s plenty of free parking in front and it’s easy to get here off of 400. The inside was clean and minimalist, and had a jazzy vibe with upbeat music and we were immediately greeted with the Japanese “Irashaimasen!” Which means Welcome!

Building is clean, decor is modern and staff is welcoming. The menu is as you would expect for a Ramen Bistro located in Alpharetta Georgia. I will say I have a child that only eats noodles when we go places like this. Having to pay for an adult sized bowl of noodles and broth is quite expensive, this goes for just about any ramen place we’ve been though.

It’s pretty good and another in a very small number of Authentic ramen shops in the Atlanta area. We have many ramen shops, but few authentic Japanese style ones. That being said, it’s Hakata style Tonkotsu which is for some reason the main style anyone ever wants to open over here. Japan has so many different styles, but this is the only one we mainly see and I just would like a little more variety. They mainly have 2 items here. One is the Tonkotsu Ramen and the other is a Tonkotsu Gyokai Tsukemen. While it can be argued that the ramen is authentic, I didn’t think it was great. I feel like Okiboru, Umaido, Hajime, and Jinya all do a better Tonkotsu to different degrees. It’s still worth getting, if you are in the area, however. The protein choices all tasted decent, and the noodles were pretty good too. The main thing the Tonkotsu ramen lacked was richness. You can add their umami oil to help this, but the issue is that it also adds a little spice that you might not want. It also cost extra money, where the cost of the ramen is already on the higher side, and the flavor of the oil itself could be a little stronger. I think they should really give the option to add a kotteri or minced pork fat to help retain the pork flavor and add more body and umami to the broth. However, if you’re palate favors more of the subdued Western flavors, then this ramen might actually be perfect for you. To each their own. Now on the flipside, I really enjoyed their tsukemen. The added Gyokai broth or dashi really ups the umami, as well as the concentration of the broth. It’s still a little thin for a Tonkotsu Gyokai tsukemen but that’s just my personal preference. If the ramen had the same impact of flavor as the Tsukemen then I would have given the place more stars and a higher recommend. I also had the takoyaki, which were great, and the gyoza, which were serviceable. I think they were possibly from frozen. Overall, I highly recommend you try it on your own and make your own decision as I’m sure some of my friends will like the ramen much better than I did. The Tsukemen was great, though. I’ll definitely go back again for that.

I came here specifically because my son wanted to try octopus. Based off other reviews I used pictures to place my order lol. The staff was very nice. Explained what everything was. I might have been there 15 Min all together. The soup bowl was bigger than I thought so that will be tomorrow’s lunch. Over all great place. Great food. Awesome staff.

Best little ramen bar ever!! I’m so happy I found this place, brought my daughter here – the staff here are amazingly friendly! They walk you through the menu, which is super simple, explain everything, give recommendations, and are always around when you need them! For perfectly customizable ramen just the way YOU like it. The ingredients are always fresh, delicious, and everything is cooked to perfection- even the egg!!! Oh and as my waiter said, you absolutely MUST try the garlic edamame! It’s to die for!! Thank you guys for some amazing ramen with my daughter:)

Tried this new Ramen Restaurant at old Starbucks location next to the Bagel Boys for lunch. The food and service was great. We had a party of 8 and everyone ordered different toppings and appetizers so that we could try everything. Impressive! We nearly gobbled up everything and pleasantly surprised how exceptional the foods tasted. They did three split checks and we had no problem because we normally have one person pay for the meal and venmo each other. They did great job on taking care of a big party although our orders could be a bit complicated since we ordered different size and styles of Ramen. Last but not least, the service was great. I will give 10 stars if I could. I am so excited I found a new ramen spot near my house.

We visited during their promotion day (2/17-2/19, first 200 bowels) which offering BOGO for Slurpin Ramen & Veggie Ramen (No Tsukemen). They couldn’t do combo meal with the promotion (I was hoping they could just charge the combo upgrade difference, but it didn’t seem like they could do it).
