Fresh is best and this place by far nails it! The sourdough crust is delish, the gourmet mozzarella cheese yummy and the easily noticeable high quality toppings, plus the fact that it’s made to order upon pick up (yes the pizza is put in the oven as soon you arrive to ensure it’s the hottest & freshest) make this pizza worth every penny! The staff was really great too and helpful in choosing what to order. Overall fantastic last minute dinner and we will be weekly regulars! Thanks Wheelz!!

First experience here. Came because of excellent reviews. Obviously busy, but lots of cussing coming from the kitchen, and this is my $25 (after tip) two topping. Tastes ok, but pretty weak for the price and clearly made carelessly. Spots missing cheese and slices without both toppings. Kinda the basics in pizza making. 3 outta 10

I am a HUGE pizza fan, especially a great New York style slice. Pizza at Wheelz has to be the most fresh and tasty pizza in the Wilmington area. The crust is a sourdough crust, and it is amazing.. the toppings were VERY fresh and flavorful. I had the white pizza (if you love garlic, you would love this one!). I will definitely be going back when I visit Wilmington again, and recommend this place to everyone.

Wheelz is definitely one of the best pizzerias in the United States. The sourdough crust really sets it apart from even the best pizzerias in New York, together with high end ingredients. Pizza comes on a wire mesh to keep it crispy even after delivery. We loved it so much that we went back the next day. Bonus: chocolate chip cookies that among the best I’ve ever had. A great reason to come back to wrightsville beach!

Pizza taste good, but on a Tuesday night with 2 people in the place and no orders going out to wait 40 minutes and counting for 2 small pies and 2 drinks is my once and done shot. To boot its was $37 for 2 10″ pies and 2 cans of soda with a 15% tip. Crazy and not worth the time, as it’s good but not that good. They are proud if it for sure, just don’t think it’s a quick dinner as you will wait longer than most sit down places and pay the same if not more for pizza.

When the pizza (namely the crust) and service goes from fantastic to a dumpster fire, one is left questioning what happened. The store is either closed early or serving less that subpar food. I don’t know what happened here. New ownership? New vendors? New staff?

Wheelz is hands down the best pizza in Wilmington! The sourdough crust sets it apart from the rest. Some of the friendliest staff I have encountered and delivery is always so quick and pizza is fresh out of the oven. Amazing! Was visiting in town. Delicious pizza. Make sure to ask extra pepperoni the pepperoni is addicting.! And delicious. The gentleman at the counter is friendly and works so hard!! 5 stars to him. So fresh the dough is delicious too!
