My kids and I researched Filipino food in middle Tennessee. Found this little gem, tucked away in a small strip mall. It’s cafeteria style ordering and each entree comes with rice. Ask the worker for any specials or combos to save you money. They have a little grocery store within the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I wanted to try everything on the menu since I live 2 hours away. We opted for pork adobo, menudo, pork sinigang Pancit, grilled liempo and the star of the show, sizzling pork sissig. Can’t wait to go back again. If you are missing some authentic Filipino food, you have to give this place a try! And if you haven’t had Filipino food, I encourage you to go! You will not be disappointed.

Mixed feelings about this place. Visited on a Saturday for lunch. I understand that weekday meals are made to order, and Saturday is point-point. Very friendly staff. Our food was good, but I just wish it was warmer. It wasn’t cold, just not quite hot enough. Good Halo-Halo. Parking can be tight.

I am not sure why there are negative comments on this restaurant. Me, my wife and 90 year old Mother dined here today 6/13/2023. Sure, we all have off days but this place did not disappoint. The service, food and facilities were completely acceptable.

I was looking for Filipino food in Nashville and this place did not disappoint! It’s a bit further out, but so worth the trip. Everything was made fresh to order and delicious. I’m still dreaming of the chicken adobo and pork lumpia. Chicken adobo was fall off the bone good and the pork lumpia… piping hot and crispy.. with the sauce… Oh my goodness. But the halo halo dessert at the end… Best way to end the meal. Getting hungry just thinking about it now…

As a Filipino American from NYC who now resides in Nashville, I was SO looking forward to coming to a place like this in Tennessee. Any positive feedback you’ve heard is all true. The wide variety of foods available here are fresh, tasty and appetizing.. not to mention served to you quickly. The adobo shrimp and pork sinigang are outstanding just to mention 2 of the many dishes we enjoyed there. And if you appreciate excellent customer service like I do, then this is an extra added bonus. Ramces and his crew are so accommodating and make you feel at home.. which Maemax has now become for me.

What a great place! Bright clean open space with very kind, accommodating, and passionate owner. Chris is great and clearly has a passion for food and the Filipino culture. I will absolutely be back. The whole pompano fish was awesome! Shrimp were also great. Oh… pork belly… sooo good. Can’t wait to come back and work my way through the menu. Thanks again!
