At our Canton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
Fast-food chain serving fried fish & shrimp combo meals along with gumbo & funnel cakes. Based on 464 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.6 stars. Price $

I was very disappointed in the food we received today. I ordered the 3 piece classic fish dinner. The fish must have been sitting on the line for quite a while. It was barely warm! The breading was not crispy but tough. The baked potato was not warm enough to melt butter so I asked for another one. It was no warmer. I just gave up and ate it anyway! The slaw and hush puppies were ok. Sorry, but I probably won’t be eating there again!

Sorry to give a mostly negative review. Needs must. With the higher prices, now is a poor time to shrink the portion sizes. I took photos of the 2 piece catfish dinner. The fish is half the size of most fish filets. This is probably a deal breaker for us. Catfish is pretty easy to cook. At Home.

The lady taking our order was super sweet and patient with us, we forgot to order 1 more drink and she just gave us a cup and said not to worry. Food was good, restaurant was very clean also.

Hushpuppies, not cooked, they said they would bring me cooked ones but never did. Only one person working the front so patrons were shuffled through and items were forgotten, no butter for potatoes, begged for sourcream.

I went today and got fish and fries. I ask where is everyone ? When I went to eat my lunch at my work place I seen why nobody was there. It was nasty like it was cooked a day or two ago and put back in to a pan with oil to reheat it. I call and told them that I see why nobody was there and told him I would not come back !! They are giving Captain D’s a bad name! Not all are that way

The food was the best and so was the service. They were so attentive and polite. We will definitely visit this location for future fish!

I used to love their fish. Now it’s too expensive and there is mostly breading. Not much actual fish to speak of.

This Lady at the counter at 2 pm has to be the most rude person I’ve met in a long time, no smile no welcome to Capt Ds. Nothing I think she just does not care for her job. Another thing the other guy that just walks around with the head set on how hard is it to say Hello. We will continue to go to another one I think this place is becoming like the Popeyes down the street.

Not what we were used to. Lobster topped grilled fish….. What a joke! The “lobster” was a burnt, mushy mess. My wife and I eat here about twice a month; over the last several years. I wanted to try something new. Mistake! The lobster is not lobster. Stick to improving your main staples.
