We were settled quickly and waited 5 min plus for our server to greet us. She greated us and asked us what we would like to drink. We questioned her on what they had and she had no idea about wine. We were never told they had cocktails and saw no signage or bottles letting us know they were available. We did end up ordering 2 beers, which we waited another 5 min for. We put in an app which came out in a timely manor and was actually the best part of our meal. Cheese Steak egg rolls, 4 out of 5 stars because the sauce that came with them was weak. A table that came in 20 minutes after us was served their food first, which wasn’t to far from what we ordered. Finally our food came out. My date ordered chicken florentine and I ordered a meatball parm sandwich. Her meal said on the menu that it was the chicken florentine with a side of penne Alfredo. It came out as a heated up chicken patty on a plate of penne. The Alfredo sauce was butter with some cheese(see pictures). My sandwich was 4 large meatballs with very little cheese. The meatballs were plain with no flavor. I had ordered a side of hot sausage that was horrible. It tasted boiled.

It is just okay is the best way to describe it. I didn’t find the food to be the greatest. I left most of my meal there. Chicken piccata looked good but tasted weird. I don’t know if it is because I’m used to a particularly way it is made. Salad bar was alright. The service was warm and friendly.

Sat at bar. I was waited on quickly. Meatball Parm Sub was delicious. A slightly sweet thick marinara sauce. Roll was soft. Housemade chips. Will return to try more items. Feb 2019. Had the pizza and a cheesesteak. Delicious both.

First time here since the remodel. Mussels were great, fried rigatoni was awesome and chicken parmesan was on point. I think 1 additional item to boost my satisfaction would have been bread for the table or at least with the chicken parm. I had some garlic bread left from the mussels to use with the chicken parm.

Staying nearby for a couple of days, we looked around and gave Tino’s a try for Friday evening dinner. Our server was attentive, and the manager stopped at our table to check on us and chat. I had the lasagna, my wife had a small stromboli. We could have shared either and had enough, the portions were so generous (we took the leftovers back to the hotel fridge, and ate them Sunday when we got home ). After a full day rail excursion out of Reading Saturday, we went back to Tino’s and sat at the bar for drinks and food. Our bartender was great, and we met friendly local folks. We like this place and would return if we’re in the area.

So I was just there for my friends bday and there was a skinny red head behind the bar who was not pleasant. I’m a server/ bartender myself and her attitude was just not up to par if you hate your job I get it but that’s not my problem. We asked for fresh parm and I guess it was a problem for her but thankgod the manager was around to grab us some. We actually ended up tipping the really sweet spanish server $20 because she was so pleasant. Hopefully next time I come in her attitude will be much more friendlier

The original review was from 3 yrs ago. It’s now 2/4/23 and the food is totally different. They must have a new cook/chef. This was my favorite place because of the food but now the food doesn’t resemble what it once was. I’m sad to say that this may have been my last visit.

The best part about the experience was the service and the attention we received. The wait staff are great. The portions were large, but the food was not memorable or something I would ever order again. My entree was chicken Parmesan, which was on a large bed of dry pasta with 2 round processed chicken patties. The patties had sauce and cheese, but not the pasta. After asking for a side of sauce it was edible. I was not the only one in my party that experienced dissatisfaction with the food. It’s definitely not the quality it used to be as Santino’s.
