While visiting Napa we found JuJu’s as a good vegetarian option for me. Was delighted by the freshness of the food and friendly service. It is a quaint little restaurant. The food was made on the spot and was absolutely delicious. We started with a hot cup of tea and then went on to the main course. My family got the lamb kebobs. Also, try the home style potatoes with garlic and parsley. Will come again if we are in the area!

So we went to this gloomy dirty cave in the middle of a heavy rain. Food wasn’t fresh at all (e.g., falafels are just microwaved and I guess lamb was several days old) but the taste was okayish. Portions are extremely small for the price and location. Plates are loaded with pickle and less real food. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. There wasn’t anyone in this place when I go there by 11.30am. So, I asked if it’s open and the guy replied “see the open board outside.” When I asked how fava beans are served because I have allergies, his reply was “exactly as given in the menu.” They asked me to go outside and come through the side door to go to the restroom in heavy rain rather than letting me through the restaurant. .

Stopped here with my wife after a doctor’s appointment for a quick bite to eat. We split the Mezza Combo Plate which came with 5 toppings and 2 pitas to share as well as a gyro. Everything on the Mezza Combo was delicious, flavorful and well seasoned. The gyro however was lacking, the meat had a good flavor but there wasn’t much of it compared to the vegetables inside the wrap, worst of all the gyro came wrapped in a tortilla! I don’t know about you guys but this is the only time I’ve been served a gyro and it wasn’t on pita bread. The gyro wasn’t bad exactly, it was just a bit of a let down compared to a traditional gyro.

We had lunch, the kale salad was really good, fresh, crisp and you know that it was cleaned and well prepared. The lamb was delicious and tasty. You can really tell the difference between frozen meat or something that was procured that day. It was one of the most refreshing lamb that I’ve ever had. Kudos to them. Would definitely come back when we’re in town.

To enjoy the best quality, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, head straight to this lovely joint tucked away with about the nicest owners you could find. Unpretentious and welcoming, you will be hard-pressed to find a more delicious lamb or chicken shawarma, tabouli, or home fries (my absolute favorite, sprinkled with garlic and fresh herbs). With a variety of drinks and sauces, this is one of the best kept secrets in Napa for true Middle Eastern food in an unhurried, peaceful setting.
