Food was very good! Friendly staff. We waited only 22 minutes since we order our food. We tried Steak Benny and Frenched Bone in Pork Chop, both delicious

I was very excited about this restaurant opening. But everything past being seated it started to go downhill. The server arrived at our table, and I felt as if I was at a buffet. She asked if she could bring us something other than water, and couldn’t remember what we said. She was a bit frazzled and seemed like she was overwhelmed. So I proceeded to examine the menu. Sadly, there was no appetizer selection at lunch, so we missed out on our normal 2 apps we order. Instead we proceed to order an entree. I selected the salmon, and I’m pregnant, so I asked for it to be cooked medium well. As I am not allowed to have anything undercooked. My husband ordered the ribeye of course, because we are at a steak house, and I ordered my daughter the shrimp! As time passed, I noticed many employees working, but never saw management on the floor. I was expecting to be greeted by someone, as this is a new restaurant. The atmosphere was nice but it was quickly ruined by the sound of “CORNER” being yelled every 30 seconds and the ::slam:: of the front door. We even witnessed an employee accidentally slide down the stairs. The salad was served, and it was fresh. We enjoyed our salads. When we received our food, I saw my salmon, and regretted my choice almost immediately. It seemed very dry on the outside, and I began to accept the fact that my fish was over cooked. My husbands plate looked fine, and so did my daughters. The server quickly asked, “Everything look good? Y’all enjoy.” And disappeared not to be seen again until I requested someone to get her after we finished our meal. Once I cut into my fish, I realized it was cooked over high heat, and not long enough… the center was raw. I was so upset. I couldn’t eat 1/3 of my food. Not only am I avoiding raw fish because I’m pregnant, I have an autoimmune disorder and shouldn’t eat anything raw. So I ate 1/3 of my fish, which was one bite, and it was dry with minimal flavor. So, I moved over to my potato. That’s where my husband started to apologize to me and offered his food, because the moment I put my fork in my potato, it separated the entire length and broke open. This potato was at least an hour and a half old. I was hungry, desperately trying to find a section of my potato that could be salvaged to use with this wonderful plate of toppings that it was accompanied by. However, to no avail. My potato was cold, cracked, embarrassingly falling all over the table, yellowed and broken. The toppings didn’t melt, there was no fluff, no chance, and no life. I accepted defeat, and ate half of the other third of my salmon… the second bite. Then I proceeded to trade my daughter the other half for her shrimp. My husband shared his steak with me too. And I felt bad for him. The steak was simply horrible. He had it cooked medium rare, so I just ate the side, but it had that sort of texture you’d find in a value meat, if you know what I mean. It was soooo cheap and had zero flavor. The leanest ribeye I’ve ever seen. I was sad at this point. Hungry, and I couldn’t find my server for the life of me which made me aggravated. So many people working and every chance I had to get the attention of someone, I would raise my hand. However everyone had tunnel vision. I was about to get up at this point, but finally a young guy cleaning tables came by. I asked his help to find my server, and here she came, frazzled. I worked in restaurants for over 15 years… I know she wasn’t busy… there wasn’t enough people to be busy… and she offered to bring me another potato. I was feeling better about this. Maybe I was going to get a nice hot fluffy one. When it arrived, as soon as I laid eyes on the potato, I realized it was the same batch, only slightly warmer. Microwave maybe? We asked for the check, and about 15 minutes later she came back to bring it, minus $4 for a potato. No manager. I told her this such a disappointing experience. The food was not as expected. She told us she would bring dessert on her. We declined. I wanted to leave. We won’t be back, sadly.

We are so desperate to find a good restaurant in or near Valdosta that will make us want to come back. So we were very excited to hear of a new steakhouse opening.

We came for date night, got to the restaurant at 5:30pm, the restaurant was fairly empty since it was early. Ordered appetizer and salad, and received them fairly quick. While waiting for our entrees, the waitress assured us 3-4 times that our food was almost ready and that we were next. At 6:40pm, after seeing other customers receiving their food that got there after us, we told the waitress we had a movie to go to at 7pm and inquired about our food. The manager (I guess) came out and said our food ticket was lost due to problems with their ticket machine and that our food had not been made. and that we did not owe anything for our appetizer, or sweet teas, BUT they hope we give them another chance. Yeah, let me think about that one…….

I don’t often leave reviews one way or another but believe our dinner experience was worth the extra time. The food was deliciously prepared and wonderfully presented. Our service was friendly and great; we were seated right away and our drink and appetizer order was brought out in a very timely manner. Our entrées were brought out in perfect time; I had just finished my salad. The atmosphere was delightful and upscale. When it came time for the check, our server asked for honest feedback on our experience. I was very pleased as she sat down and was very attentive to my inputs on areas for improvement; it was a very pleasant duscussion. I did forget to mention that a cocktail/wine list would be a nice addition for an upscale restaurant.
