Our specialty is Aburi ( flame-seared ) sushi and homemade plant based ramen . What is aburi-style sushi? For those who don’t know, Aburi is a type of sushi that originates from Osaka, Japan, meaning “torched sushi”. The flame takes the sushi’s texture and flavor to the next level. It will partially cook the fish and leaves no ‘fishy’ taste. This is more receptive to children and newcomers but also gives veteran sushi lovers a new and exciting way to enjoy sushi.

Upon arriving at KINARI ABURI SUSHI & Noodles for dinner, my partner and I were initially taken aback by the lack of patrons present. However, we opted to stay and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The sushi and ramen dishes were outstanding, and we were impressed by the overall value for the price. In fact, our final check was remarkably reasonable given the high quality of our dining experience. We highly recommend trying this restaurant, especially during their amazing happy hour. Don’t hesitate to give KINARI ABURI SUSHI & Noodles a chance – you won’t be disappointed. One more thing when we left the restaurant was filled up.

Food !!! Is Amazing.. from ramen to sushi. I chose to get the miso ramen and everything was cooked to perfection. The noodles where not soggy they still had great texture and the pork meat that was added as seared very well as I asked. Sushi was very fresh and served in a beautiful manner. The service makes it that much better! My waiter was very sweet and attentive. I could see that she continued to check on me to make sure I was pleased. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant as well the music isn’t to loud and a very calm environment. would like to give thanks to the chief and all the staff at Kinari.

Love their 100% plant-based ramen! Okay so I’ve eaten my fair share of vegan ramens at other places and they are tasty too but this place packs a surprisingly flavorful punch for the soup base. YUM! You won’t even be able to tell that it’s not the typical pork broth base ramen. I’ll be a repeat customer! My friends ate their sushi platinum combo and the plating looks delicious too. Seared sushi vs the typical raw fish on rice. Check it out if you have a chance to stop by or order takeaway! They are located on Fairfax and you can typically find free 2 hrs street parking on the side streets.

Can’t believe there was no wait and barely any people here! This place was hands down one of the best quality asian food restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’ve been around the block when it comes to sushi and other asian foods, and this was INCREDIBLE. Very reasonable prices. Everything was top tier food quality. Sushi was so fresh, fried rice was delicious, miso soup was absolutely one of the best I’ve had. I can’t say enough good things. They also advertise that all of their broths are plant based, which is fantastic! Maybe other places should do this is that is what is making everything so delicious.

Fantastic local spot on Fairfax under new management. Staff is super kind and attentive and make some deliciously fresh sushi. Came around 6pm so not a big crowd but this is a back-pocketed spot that you should check out.
