Busy but worth the wait, brisket with queso is the go to burrito. Must get the tostadas and some tamales. Overall really good

I saw them in the food network and they are supposed to be the best. I’ve been trying to buy from here for several months but it seems like they hardly open. Honestly I’m not impressed. The burrito portion is too small for the price and was mostly beans, it was not filling. The selection was slim, the cashier was pleasant, the person that gives you the food just threw my burritos my way, no receipt nor a thank you from the staff. Not complaining, but not sure what the whole hype was for.. if you are hungry look elsewhere because you will go broke ordering enough to fill you up.

After hearing, this was on diners, drive-ins and dives, my wife and I were excited to go there. Ordered the brisket tacos and something had a burnt taste to it, I think it was the oil. I don’t expect I would go back. They look delicious.

Best food I’ve found in El Paso. Deep fried brisket tacos, chile rellenos, burritos, chile con queso, wedding cookies. To-go only. They sell out early, but you can order a day ahead. Excellent!

It has been 20 years since I last had a burrito from La Colonial. I told my dad that I remembered a little place that made fresh tortillas and had a small burrito bar. He laughed and told me that they were still in business and still made delicious burritos. He told me the name was LA Colonial and that they opened at 7am. I showed up and walked in to see the same tortilla factory from my childhood. The bean burrito with chili con queso instantly took me back 20 plus years. It is still amazing as I remembered it. I remember the burritos used to cost 1 dollar. Times have changed because they are now over 3 dollars, but the flavor and quality are exactly as I remembered. I will definitely be visiting LA Colonial in the near future.

I went at lunch time and they had sold out of all the burritos. Next time I will go in the morning. They only had hamburgers and potato tacos. The tacos are deep fried. They were the tastiest potato tacos I have eaten. I did take one package of flour tortillas. Next time I go I will review the burritos.

What a theft of money! Yeah the food is tasty no doubt but seriously 4.50 for a picadillo burrito?? You can close your index and your thumb around the burrito. That’s just not right you get a better buy at Delicious eatery. Both are tasty different seasonings but it’s no longer worth it to go to Colonial. We hadn’t been there in years and we played $40 8 burritos Had they been well served in proportion it would have been OK but like I said you can wrap your index finger and your thumb around the burritos that’s how thin they are. I truly am very disappointed
