This was a favorite place of mine the past few years and it’s only gotten better with the new chef and changes they’ve made. They now have full service waiters and more seating options. The menu choices became fewer but there is nothing on it that disappoints. The cauliflower is a staple and a must. The Tartine bread starter (not shown) was divine and great for sharing. The halibut had so much flavor! They have unique combinations of ingredients that complement each other really well.

Our 3rd time now at Stella and so far no disappointments. Open Table ready right on time. Attentive service – genuinely caring staff. Beautifully appointed cozy room. And the small dishes are so delightful! Wonderful flavors, creative presentation. Seasonal menu reinvented each year. My favorite dinner stop in Truckee. Make it yours, too.

This place has a nice fancy meditarranean menu. The food is delicious and they plate it in a very fancy style. The staff is amazing and nice people. The place would be a good date spot. The cost is little on the higher side. If you are looking for a fancy nice date spots near lake tahoe, this is it.

The food was not bad, everything was well seasoned and juicy. Was initially misled with how many items there would be to choose from on yelp so beware, they have a couple of main dishes that they would specialize in at a time. Definitely recommend the fried cauliflower! However, I do believe it’s a little over priced for what it is. Definitely paying the extra for the ambiance. One thing I didn’t like is that when the server ran out of sprite for the Shirley temples when it came to make mine he didn’t tell me, maybe because he was rushing but I wish he told me because I was confused until I asked about it myself.

We enjoyed Stella’s so much that we ate there two of our three nights in Truckee. The food is beyond creative, fresh, gourmet and delicious! We are foodies and have dined at other high caliber restaurants with famous chefs and none of them have anything on Stella’s chef and food.

When I walked into the restaurant, I didn’t know what was in store for me. All the food is creative, delicious, and local. The sauces are superb and every dish is perfectly curated. We came back for dinner again the following night to try the rest of the menu, including all of the mouth watering desserts. The service is also amazing. When we joined them for the third day in a row, this time for breakfast, we accidentally thought we had ordered pastries when we didn’t but after the meal they gave us one of each of the fresh, delightful pastries to go. I’m afraid I’ll have to visit Truckee again from the Bay Area just for Stella. Thank you for this top-class experience.
