My husband surprised our daughter and me with a reservation at Temakeria, Dallas’s pioneer 2D concept restaurant. The ambiance and setting were absolutely exquisite, offering a truly unique experience with countless photo opportunities. The sashimi was fresh, though if I had to mention a drawback, it would be that the cuts were a bit on the thin side. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic dining experience overall!

Upon walking in I was in awe of the place, the art work is insane. Nathan our server was knowledgeable about not only the menu, but the atmosphere. He provided enthusiasm and kindness to our dining experience.

Made the drive to Temakeria, and the wait was well worth it! Our server was Nathan, and he recommended me the shrimp tempura temaki, sake to pair it with, and Japanese whiskey to finish! Great patio to relax! A perfect first impression in service! Now I’m definitely coming back with my wife and only bother going if he’s working!

Loved this 2D restaurant! The food was really good! The sushi was my favorite. I can’t wait to go back and try the poke nachos. The service was great as well.

Restaurant theme is pretty cool. But don’t arrive hungry. It was $220 between 2 people. Not worth the price, for sub par appetizers and hand rolls. Nothing really wowed me, but enjoyed the crème brûlée and lobster karage the most. One and done experience at best.

Came here to try out the sushi and 2D look of the restaurant! Upon arrival we were seated immediately on the patio (restaurant was pretty empty) so we weren’t able to experience the inside of the restaurant where the majority of the 2D is located. Bummer. The customer service was ok but could have improvements as we had to ask for things (utensils, water, napkins).

it was a very cute atmosphere and our server was so nice! but the food was probably some of the most mid food i’ve had this year, the hand rolls and the soft shell crab appy were the best things we ordered, would go back for the soft shell crab only! the ramen was the most under seasoned thing i’ve ever tasted, and the cocktails were horrible! i mean i’m sure certain people would like them because there was so much alcohol in them but it tasted like straight up liquor and not enjoyable at all… had to order a sprite to chase it… overall would not go back since the food was not good and the prices so high! only good thing ab this place is the artwork and soft shell crab

Our waitress was great. Very friendly. I brought the wife and 2 kids to try out the place. The artwork is cool, looks much better in picture.

The ambiance and interior design concept is pretty cool, but unfortunately we did not have the best hospitality. My family and I came here for lunch on a Saturday around 1:45pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all- and my family of 7 was told we can only sit in the patio area cuz of how large a party we were. They said the empty tables inside had reservations. As we ordered and ate, the restaurant slowly emptied until we were the only ones left. Sadly, we never were welcome to sit inside… on a 106degree summer day. So for those reasons, I’m knocking this spot to a 2 star. The food is decent for Dallas, but not a place I’d come back to for hand rolls. The 2D space looks better in photos. And the 1 dimensional thinking of the host to only let us sit outside left a bad taste in our experience. That all said, if you’re in this area…. Be sure to hit Beto & Sons.. same owner as this place but way better service and hospitality.
