Finding a Kerala restaurant is hard. Finding an authentic restaurant is even harder. If you come to a kerala restaurant eats Mallu food. Don’t order north Indian typical butter chicken and naan. Try Malabar Curry’s and Kerala Parotta. This was just the best meal I had in a long time.

Chacko’s served the Onam sadya for the GAMA onam celebration today. It was the worst ever sadya I had in my life. We were told it would have 18 dishes and had 8 dishes, not even the papadam. Spoiled the whole celebration.

We rarely get high quality Kerala food and I was excited to try this place out. Chacko himself explained his best items in the menu and we were blown away by the flavor and variety of his recommendations. If you are a non-mallu, it might be confusing to decide what to order, since Kerala cuisine is very detached from the rest of the country. But this restaurant is very authentic to north Kerala non vegetarian style preparation. I recommend asking the chef for their suggestions before ordering generic Indian food because this restaurant offers way better options than that. I will be coming back here multiple times and couldn’t be happier to find this little gem!

One of the best places to experience Kerala Cuisine on a Sunday. This place currently serves lunch buffet only on Sundays. Quite understandable as to why they could do only on Sundays. A lot of varieties offered that you gasp thinking which one to pick and which one you opt to try the next time. You have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The desserts too have more than 3 options to choose from. Can’t ask for more. One suggestion however is to move up from paper plates or paper cups to porcelain plates and bowls. But can’t complain on the food. It was a great experience. A definite place to visit if anyone wants to experience the flavor of “God’s own Country”.

I was blown away by the number of items I saw in the buffet especially non veg items. They had every possible meat options like chicken, beef, pork, lamb and sea food as well. The taste of most of the food items were good and in specific beef ularthiyathu which is an item that I have never tasted in the US. Overall a non veg buffet paradise for a nominal price.

Place was deserted and tables were sticky but if you can overlook the aesthetics the food itself is very tasty and portion size is huge.
