My husband and I went here on a rare night out with the kids. The food was excellent! This will be the only place in Lawrence where we go for steak in the future! He had the country fried steak and won’t stop talking about how good it was. I had the shrimp linguine and the sauce they used was the best I’ve had!

I went to the grand opening. The service was as bad as the service. Never went back. Got invited to a seminar trying to sell me something. I was interested in the product and they offered a free meal. They served a sirloin steak with smashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was done to perfection and served by an extremely friendly, efficient staff. We also were served a nice salad and chocolate cake dessert. I will definitely go back.

Waiter was great. I have been to the restaurant maybe 10 times and it was always good. This time we took our folks out and it was embarrassing. The food was cold and not cooked properly. One peace of meat was so tough it could not hardly be cut.

Beautiful restaurant! Great wine list. The service is usually excellent and the food as well. There have been a time or two where service has been slightly off or one side dish wasn’t up to par, but in general, you can count on great food and service.

My wife & I are searching Lawrence for great steak, but missed prime rib night (Fri, Sat) at Six Mile, so opted for some other random plates. Ordered what I thought was going to be a filet of chicken breast that was fried, but turned out it was a filet of beef!

Made a carryout order. Bought the $41 (receipt showed $48 charge though) 8oz center-cut steak. Got home, it was anything but 8oz. Pulled out my kitchen scale, 5.2 oz. Will it taste good? Likely. A complete rip off? 100% Never again.

I usually go to the Tavern side for Sunday brunch and random late night happy hours. They have a great after 9pm happy hour selection of food and drinks, which is great after a league night out at the sports pavilion. The only issue is the service sometimes sucks. I think it’s because they are understaffed.

I had my first bad experience at Six Mile. Was at a business dinner and ordered the trout. The trout was so thin and was overcooked, leaving it dry. The spinach had too much garlic, and the steamed broccoli was bland. The mashed potatoes needed some more love. I don’t recommend the trout! The whole evening was saved by the flour less chocolate cake. I can recommend it! What Im trying to say is stick with a steak at a steakhouse!
