I ordered a grilled salmon plate that came with rice. The rice tasted like cardboard. I don’t know if it was wheat or what, but there should definitely be a choice Not to get it. The salmon was sitting on lettuce & that’s the only flavor it had.. was lettuce.. I had to season my own fried okras because they were bland. Overall Poor first experience. I wouldn’t eat here again. I will say the food presentation was very neat though, if that counts.. But you can’t smell food walking in.. which I guess should be the first red flag..

We got the boils. One with garlic butter the other with the old bay. Both desperately needed more seasoning. The lady at the counter didn’t know what the non-combos came with. The place was so cold you couldn’t sit down and enjoy, we ended up taking ours to go because the air was so cold.

The food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is very inviting. I’m black and I appreciate the r&b music while me and my girlfriend dined. Note to the owners, everything was great but the crust on the sweet potato pie. The catfish was perfect and the rice was soft, no hard pieces. The only thing bad I can say and I’m sure my girlfriend agrees, the fruit drink you have up front are very watered down. All in all it was great. The music and food was on point! We will be back!

I went last night (Sat March 4) and got a plate to go. It was good,as usual, and for the first time, there were a few scales and a piece of fin of some kind of bone where the fin goes, idk, I’m not complaining, bc even though it was a filet, finding that stuff means it was a real fish!!
