I tried Imperial Wok once about 4 years ago when I moved to the area and wasn’t impressed. When my favorite more upscale Chinese place closed, I decided to give it another try. I found I had been paying way too much for great Asian food. I’ve been back to Imperial Wok twice in the last week. Good portions, tender meat, perfect vegetables, great flavor, friendly service, and solid food safety inspections. I particularly like their hot & sour soup, and curry chicken with onions.

This has been my husband’s and my go-to spot for Chinese food for several years now and we’ve had a consistently great experience. Our order is always correct, the food is always fresh and hot, and the folks who run the restaurant are lovely. My personal favorite on the menu is the Seasame Tofu, and my husband always gets the Singapore Chow Mai Fun, but there are a lot of great options to pick from. Plus, they have a drive-through window for order pickup, which is very convenient.

To me, it is the best Chinese food restaurant in this category in Akron. I don’t order from my side of town and will drive to the west side when I get this craving. First time seeing an Asian restaurant that has a drive thru! I love this concept. The food was great, big portions for the price, staff was super friendly and fast. Would def recommend putting your order in online to speed up the drive thru process. Takes 20 mins after putting in your order for it to be finished for pick up at the window!

Ordered online. Said it would be ready in 30 min. After 45 min went to pick up the food, and the doors are locked. Only the drive through window is open, with 10 cars in line. Line wasn’t moving, so we left!
