OMG….. this place is amazing. Great food and the staff, especially Lyn, is so super sweet! I can’t get over how wonderful this food is! The biscuits and gravy……. Ohhhh weeee write home to momma! Watch out for that fish and grits….. you won’t be able to stop eating it❤️❤️❤️❤️! I am so in love with this place. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family. This place has not been renovated at all. It still looks the same . For you to go up on your prices you should be able to renovate your dining establishment. There’s no seats. There are no new chairs. We’ve been through a Covid scare in his place still is filthy. This is the reason why you cannot support black businesses. There’s no kind appreciation for all the support money that you spent into a business.

Omg! This took me all the way back today, Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, when returning back from our military days of traveling. We came faithfully to eat with my boys as youngsters in elementary grade 2 and kindergarten. Now they’re in their 30s, both military men. The food was great , and the place was always packed. Today, that’s been 20-plus years. I’m glad to see Derry’s is still a visited tradition in my neighborhood, just blocks from my house. “Keep going BUT STEP IT UP!” Derry’s on Pembroke Road ❤️! And “Congratulations, congratulations” on your location in Hallandale. REQUEST/SUGGESTIONS: Need modern-day renovations badly. Still has the same menu and seating layout. Need outside facelift. Server/Waitress looking unprofessional and not skilled with customers . Little girl with upkeep hair, half loose unbraided hair, with a baseball cap, and asking if our order was fried or broiled and if eggs were scrambled repeatedly. . She was in sweatpants/jogging outfit with Crocs. PLEASE upgrade the diner furnishings and outside of establishment and have professional assistance. The server ladies at the seated counter looked professional in their shirts and seemed on point. So upgrade your diner in order to be competitive in the dining industry to HAVE and KEEP customers like me AS PATRONS. #PatronOfOURBlackBusinesses

This is my first time here and I was giving raving reviews about this place. I am NOT impressed. We waited OVER AN HOUR for my food, and it wasn’t as good as claimed to be. The service was TERRIBLE! Yes, plenty of staff but they acted like they didn’t care that our wait was over an hour. Further, patrons who placed phone orders received their food before we did while sitting in the restaurant. Funny how they were QUICK to bring out the bill (of course) but NOT quick to service their customers in a timely manner. The unprofessionalism is disappointing!! As African Americans WE MUST DO BETTER! I will NEVER refer anyone to this establishment and will continue to share my experience across social media. When you know better you do better and Derry you all NEED TO DO BETTER! Signed a potential customer who would have brought you limitless business.
