Farm Bell has a well put together menu, friendly staff and a beautiful space. The house brioche French toast is always a standout. It is topped with bourbon glazed bananas foster and the portion is more than fair for the price. Crab cakes in the Crab Cake Benedict could have been just a bit less mushy, but the dish was still very tasty. Third visit to Farm Bell and the quality is always consistent. Food is very fresh and the ambience is outstanding. A big plus that the coffee is fantastic.

My wife and had some time to kill in Charlottesville after an early morning appointment. Most of the highly rated restaurants don’t open until after 4pm so we were please to find Farm Bell open for brunch. I had a bayou bowl (similar to a western omelette on a bed of grits) and my wife had the Fried Green Tomatoes (one of her favorite dishes). We were both very pleased with the food and the service. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will plan another visit in the future. Don’t hesitate to stop in if you are considering it.

Great little place, with a deceivingly large amount of outdoor seating in the back. Went with my wife and we had brunch drinks, and ate, and everything was solid. I had the bayou bowl, which I thought was delicious, and was a reasonable enough size that I didn’t feel like I wanted to die after from being stuffed. We would absolutely go back if we were in the area.

Such a very cute quaint brunch spot. I loved the renovations of this older home into a restaurant. Lots of healthier brunch options. Prices were very reasonable. The food was fresh and tasty. The beignets were very delicious, worthy of getting. Excellent customer service! This is a must try. I will be back.

This is my favorite place for Sunday brunch in the Central Virginia area! This farm-to-fork spot is cozy, beautiful, the decor is amazing, and the food is simply awesome.

I feel conflicted about this place, mostly because I was super excited for it. It’s a cute place and really cozy. The woman who seated us was so nice and enthusiastic! Looking at the menu, everything looked like it could be delicious! Once we got our food, we were visually pleased. The given stars are for the look of the restaurant, the nice woman up front, and the presentation of food. Things kind of went downhill from there. We got the Biscuit Board – the biscuits were dry and the gravy was cold. We did like the preserves a lot! I feel like it was overpriced for what it was. My Ofelia’s Benedict was lackluster. It was warmer than the gravy, but it was also kind of room temp. The eggs were way over cooked and weren’t runny at all. It didn’t seem like anything had much seasoning, including the fried green tomatoes and asparagus. As for the hollandaise, it was decent to taste on its own, but the flavor was lost with everything else. My boyfriend got the Cajun Breakfast Sandwich…which he also didn’t love. There was minimal aioli on it; he couldn’t taste it and had to request more. Because of this, it was dry and that made the arugula hard to deal with. Although it had andouille sausage on it, it was small (especially versus the size of the sandwich) and was just placed kind of diagonal across the bread. His egg was overcooked as well. Basically the sandwich filling wasn’t proportional at all and it was also pretty bland. We ordered espresso first thing, which took quite a while to get. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. It took almost the entire time spent there to get a refill of water. We absolutely love going to breakfast joints when we’re out of town, but this visit was disappointing. I hope it was just an off day.

Delicious brunch on a rainy Monday- I sat on the lovely back balcony and enjoyed super fresh food and great service. Coffee was delicious and they had the menu labeled for gluten free options. GF English muffin was yum and the jams are all made in house!!

My boyfriend and I visited here recently. Surprised how quick the wait and the service was on a beautiful Sunday morning where the restaurant was humming. But even more surprising to us was how absolutely amazing the food was. I’ve searched up and down both coasts for the best chicken and waffles, frequented upscale and shady dives, and I’m telling you Farm Bell may have nailed the best I’ve ever had to date. And did I mention it was my boyfriend who got the chicken and waffles? The chicken was perfectly crisp, moist, and seasoned. The Belgium waffle both crisp and fluffy. He destroyed his meal. I had the Crab Cakes Benedict and was also pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. I’ve been a fan of and frequented The Nook for years for both meals, and I have to say I’m a convert to Farm Bell now. There was no time to snap a before picture but I think the after says it all. That’s one happy boyfriend.

We came by on Memorial Day and almost everything was closed but this place and I am so glad it was open! There was a 30 min wait for a table for 3 so we just ordered to go and it only took 15 min. The latte was hot and good. I ordered the breakfast tacos and they were SO GOOD. Perfect portion for me. I didn’t add any extra meat but put some of the hash browns in the taco. Delish! My friends both got the Low Country bowl with the shrimp and crab and said it was really good. The shrimps were huge! Such a cute little place. Would def recommend!

Farm Bell always feels like a treat. We don’t go there often because you have to be crafty when finding parking. Either street parking or a parking garage a little down the street. But the food is great. Brunch like you’ve never had it before. These are the lightest pancakes I’ve ever eaten, and my boyfriend usually gets an eggs Benedict but this time went adventurous with the duck confit bowl! His first time having duck. Make sure to make a reservation in advance because this place fills up on a Saturday.
