Spending life along the eastern seaboard, I know how scallops should taste, and this ain’t it. With scallops, it’s paramount that they not be over cooked. They should be tender and still a bit blubbery. Mine were firm and the dry texture of chicken. They’re the worst scallops I’ve ever had, and with a $55 price tag, that’s unacceptable. We did, however, have a kind and attentive server, and we enjoyed the pork cheek appetizer, so I’m bumping my 1 star to 2.

Food was ok but over priced. After spending over $100 per person, we were left unsatisfied with our experience. Portions were small. Orders were mistaken. Sent 3 main orders (of 6) back for over cooking. Appetizers were wrong. Lobster Mac and cheese ($27) is not a sharable side and contains very little lobster.

The BEST restaurant at The Greenbrier! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere as golfers and resort stayers gather together. I ordered the Prosciutto Pizza and it was to die for! If you love balsamic vinegar, run, don’t walk, for this meal. I ordered a glass of Prosecco with it for a sparkling wine taste with the pizza, and it was the perfect combination. Two meal can eat this pizza definitely, or no shame to snack on it solo! I’ll be coming back for this meal!

NY Strip was slightly over cooked but decent. Baked potato was dry and definitely not “loaded” – a tiny dollop of sour cream and few sprinkles of cheese and bacon. Atmosphere and service were great but given price, this one is not worth a visit.

This place was fine. I was hoping for a little more at the Greenbrier to be honest. The service was good but they seemed understaffed over the summer. The food took a while to be served and it was just okay when it showed up. We were able to sit and look over a part of the golf course which is a nice view. Basically, eat here if you’re heading to or coming back from the golf course. Otherwise, I’m sure there is better dining on property.

I wanted chicken tenders , I saw someone eating them , our waitress had to go ask the chef about it because they really were on the kids menu.Even though an adult was eating them they did have a child sitting at their table . He would not make them for us . Really? I wasn’t asking for a kids price just wanted chicken tenders. We got the pizza – over rated , doughy not good . And a side of the sneads chips , also not good. This place definitely needs help in the kitchen. Wait staff was good .

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sam Snead’s on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was very friendly, and we stayed for a long time to enjoy the Saturday afternoon football game for our favorite alma mater. For a quick lunch, it would be a little pricey, with a somewhat limited menu. If you treat it like a sports bar experience it is A+.

A great experience. Wonderful service. They really cater to special dietary needs. The menu is marked for gluten-free options and they are knowledgeable about ingredients and can make sure that non of your other allergens are in your foods.
