$$-$$$. Recommended for date night, special occasion or in the mood to crack crabs. More upscaled in ambiance and presentation of dishes compared to your regular crab house. With offerings of different price targets and options for non-seafood lovers there is always something to find but with the varying price levels options are limited.

New restaurant in Dewey (obviously part of the Starboard Group) We had excellent service and the food was exceptional. The new building is reminiscent of the old Two Seas restaurant. You must try it, I am sure you will agree!

Food was lousy. We got the calamari and clams as an appetizer and it was not a great start. Once we got our main courses, we were thoroughly disappointed with the establishment. The prices are ridiculous for such mediocre to lousy food. We got the crab cake sandwich for market price ($31 today), and it was disappointing. Service was fine. Overall, not a good restaurant.

With Starboard opening another restaurant we had to try it out. The restaurant itself is nice and though there’s TVs they’re not overwhelming for a pricey want to be upscale restaurant. The upstairs bar and outdoor area are loud, so come prepared. There is a fishy smell when you walk in, but then it’s called Claw. Had the Peel and Eat Shrimp which was good and the Bread and Cheese Board (not a fan of Harbison after trying it, brie would be better with this mixture). The grapefruit crush was light in the alcohol and the Bloody Claw with a side of lump crab was good but lacked any liquor vibes. The Chicken Ed was a little dry in some pieces (but coudos for keeping a Dewey icon alive and bringing that cook into your fold). The grilled whole fish of the day choices were Bronzino, Red Snapper or Stipped Bass (Sea Bass/Striper) so ordered the Red Snapper. It was presented well, cooked properly as the meat easily came off the bone and tasted good. The market price $55 though for what it was and the Spring Salad that came with it was overpriced and more of a $30-35 meal. The salad with added salmon looked okay.

All the food and drinks we got here were amazing! Service was great too, overall atmosphere was very cool and beachy. Only wish they had parking, but it’s worth finding a parking spot!

Sea scallops with cauliflower was absolutely delicious. A little bit pricy for the amount of food, though. The atmosphere was great (we got a great sunset) and service was efficient.

We all want Starboard Claw to succeed and we absolutely love and have been patrons of Starboard Raw for many years. In light of that, I wanted to share this so the management can make adjustments. I ordered the Birria Style Beef Short Rib tacos for Dinner. It was a busy Saturday night and our server was delightful. The reason for the 2 stars for the food is because the tacos were miniscule. I don’t need a lot food. I don’t want big portions, but I’ve never ever seen taco’s this small (see pictures attached, the fries and my credit card look enormous). To add insult to injury, they had about as much meat in them as a single Mc Donald’s chicken nugget and I think I am being generous with that portion. I could have been swayed if the Birria Beef had a rich flavor, hence the balance of tortilla to beef, but the opposite was a play. The tortilla overpowered the beef. I think that is hard to do with Birria. So, I am hoping that this feedback will help the team if they are seeing that this menu item isn’t selling anymore after time they know why.

Everything was okay, just okay. Except for our server. She was really great, friendly and had good recommendations. AND the hosts that were seating people. They were great with everyone. We had the scallops and the shrimp burger. Both were okay, just okay. Drinks were crushes. It’s your average shore restaurant and we happened to have beyond average service.

This was our first visit and all categories were excellent. The calamari & clams app was very good. Sauce had a good kick. I had the “Chicken Ed’s” chicken and it was very much like the original. Portions were large and the corn was very fresh and sweet. The grouper was tasty but the veggie side was a little skimpy.
