I love love love the lady who made our sandwiches. I’m sad I didn’t get her name, she had locks that were colored on the tips. She made my 1st time experience everything, she made our sandwiches perfect, she made great suggestions, and made us feel good about what we’re buying and eating.

I’ve been to many cheesesteak spots across Philly so Max’s was next on my list. The cheesesteak was great they don’t have rib eye steaks they use sirloin and it’s the ground beef style but it is very good. I got mine wit wiz onions and green peppers like i always do. The employees working inside are funny and super friendly. And this place is cash only but there is a ATM inside. The line is very long I waited 40 mins and the line was not moving quickly for the amount of people. But I enjoyed my steak. There is also a bar you can sit inside of as well.

Line was long, but it moved. They have a good system in place, and I don’t know how they remember that many orders at one time, but they do it!

“Take me to the place Kevin Hart be at!” Max’s was cool but I need to try some others out! The line was super long at the time we came so we might’ve waiting 30-45 minutes just to order. I was cool with the neighborhood vibes – a lot of characters out there lol.

This Looks So Crazy… There’s No Mushrooms Or Sweet Peppers (Which I Ordered ), Barely Any Steak & The Whole Thing Is Just Drenched In Ketchup. Now I’ve Been Here Before & My Sandwich Never Looked Like This. I’m Assuming It’s Because I Ordered Online.. I Tried Calling But Of Course Couldn’t Get Through. Please Check The Sandwiches Before Leaving. Max’s Y’all Have To Do Better

My daughter has a friend from Philly and Max’s was highly recommend. I had it with onions, hot peppers and cheese. We ate in the adjoining club. The steak did not disappoint and I had to carry half home. A lot has been said about the area but I never felt uncomfortable or threatened. As far the people behind the counter being rough around the edges, it’s Philly not Hollywood.

There was confusion with my order due to unruly customer before me. They should explore using a number system for orders so that there is no confusion as to who ordered what and who was next in line.
