I’m strictly giving this place two stars just because the food is very expensive and the portions are so damn small it’s enough for a child. I paid nearly $17 for the plate you see in the picture. The bread and the pickles were not included with the price because they came free.

Came here for the reviews but didn’t read the tons of 1-2 star reviews. Glad I didn’t…

My husband and I easily shared the 2 meat platter. Im in town visiting my Grandma, and she ordered Smokey Mo’s last year, and I wanted a quick lunch since we’re leaving tomorrow and meeting up with family for dinner. Brisket is 10/10! Our 1.5 year old ate up the Mac and cheese. Thankful we got a side of it since he loves it so much. I wish we had a location near where we live, I’d definitely go a lot! I worked in Management at a BBQ restaurant in Seattle, and the food was as good or better!

Food was hot when we received our order. It was near closing time when we ordered and the food was still as delicious as when they open! The brisket wasn’t dry and the bun for the sandwich was soft. The chopped spud is big enough for two!!

My husband and I love this Smokey Mo’s. Normally, we go there, order, and hang out for the brief period our food is packed up to take out. The folks who work there are pleasant and the place just smells crazy good. Our order today was our first for delivery and it was OUTSTANDING. Easy on line ordering followed by prompt delivery. The food was packaged well. What was supposed to be hot was hot and what was supposed to be cold was cold. Mo’s has been around forever and there’s a good reason for it: PERFECT FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Flexible with family meals. They allow you to pick any meat that you’d like rather than True Bbq at HEB. For example, we wanted the 3lbs of meats to be all brisket. No problem for Smokey Mos but True BBQ does not allow substitutes with meat. You must get turkey etc.

This was my first time here. I went with some coworkers because of location closer to work. When we got there it was nice and calm. A lady acknowledged us and took our order right away. Since it was my first time she kindly explained the menu options and sides. The restaurant was empty so they served us promptly. I ordered the brisket plate with pinto beans and potato salad. The brisket was super tender (it was a little bit cold thou), the beans were delicious and hot and the potato salad was tasty. The sauce it looks like is homemade; is a little bit hot but still delicious. It came with two slices of bread. My suggestions are just to play some background music. It felt awkward been alone and no music or noise. Also change the table clothes. When you come in it looks more like an Italian restaurant instead of a BBQ place. For sure I’ll be coming back but probably to order to go.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It was about 3/10 on a scale of 10. I’ve been to lots of BBQ places and felt like it’s a pretty hard thing to mess up. The amount of bbq sauce mixed was almost making me gag. Normally I’m scraping the meat that falls out and eating it. This was the opposite. I was actually pulling meat off because I couldn’t eat anymore. Nice people. Clean place. Otherwise maybe 2 stars. I won’t be back.

So I was craving bbq seen this place was on my way home and decided to give it a try. Didn’t have high hopes As so many restaurants here in San Antonio have let me down. Did walking up to the restaurant there was no smell of bbq in the air. Once I walked in there was a faint smell One table had 4 people ans another table has 2 people. And There were A Couple of people waiting on to go orders so I ordered my food I absolutely hate the tip question at the end I decided not to tip it was my first time trying this place out of if itwas good I’d be back and be glad to leave a tip. Ordered the 2 meat plate chopped brisket and Sausage a sy disease were pinto beans and potatoe salad. On the way home there was no smell of the bbq radiating its way into my car. Once inside I sat down to enjoy my meal. First bite was the chopped Brisket that tasted like Salty Charred Meat, thank onto the sausage which was just kielbasa sausage it was chewy definitely not impressed at all!.Next the sides the beans were good needed more seasoning but not bad. The mayo based potatoe salad was OK I loathe mayo based potatoe salad I grew up on mustard based.. Anyways ate about half.. You get bread, pickles and onions and Bbq sauce. I.guess once you have Franklins Bbq and Terry Blacks BBQ both in Austin You compare every bbq place to them.. So safe to say I won’t be going back.. That Brisket needs a

We ordered half pound brisket, ribs, and sausage. Asked that brisket be trimmed-was ALL fat, ribs tasted like they were from yesterday and sausage was grainy. Will not return! Cashier was pleasant.
