Tikka Hut’s menu boasts an array of grilled meats and vegetables accompanied by flavorful dips and sauces. The cuisine reflects, the long history of conquest and occupation along the east coast of Africa by the mighty seafaring nations of the time – the Portuguese, the Arabs and the British. Therefore, Arab and Indian immigrants and traders who arrived on the coast, had the strongest influence on Swahili (coastal) food. The flavors of Tikka Hut are a blend of Persian, Indian, and Swahili spices and cooking styles. The marinades make use of yogurt, ginger, garlic, black pepper, turmeric, and other blends of mixed spices with subtle hints of fresh chilies.

When I was first looking for options to try something new near the hotel this place wasn’t immediately appealing. I’m very glad I gave it a chance! I think it’s a very unique fusion casual dining place. I had the chicken tikka pizza slice and the masala fries. Fries were very well seasoned and while chicken tikka on a pizza might sound odd it was a very good combination. I see that they also specialize in Pili Pili chicken but they were out when I visited. I highly recommend it and will be coming back the next time I’m in Albuquerque to get some of that chicken!

This spot is so amazing. The food was phenomenal as well as the service. My chicken burger was done perfectly, fried were out of this world. My girlfriend got a chicken kabob, and was so impressed, she wants the lamb next time. Server even offered lil one a taste of some of their ice cream, which she inhaled so fast, I’m surprised she didn’t get a Brain freeze. Will definitely go back for more options. The happy hour special looks amazing… Thanks for such great food and service

Ordered individual slices to taste to decide which ones to order as a whole in the future along with 2 orders of masala fries. Received a cheese pizza with toppings tossed on pizza that fall off, instead of baking in to the pizza. How lazy! Masala fries were plain unsalted fries! Change the menu to plain fries if you can’t fulfill the item description!

If you’re plant-based and in Albuquerque, this is the most important review you need to read. I was on an Amtrak and had a layover at the Amtrak/Greyhound station, and was in search for food that I could actually eat. This place was close, and looked better than most of the other options based on offerings and price, so I walked over. I got the happy hour special (which they were nice enough to give me a few minutes early), and got a plethora of amazing veggie tacos and a caraffe of wine for $20. The food was unique and delicious, the staff and the owner were extremely nice, and the digs were inviting. It was good and memorable enough that I wanted to be sure and remember to give a rave review here on Google. If I’m ever back in the ABQ, would definitely make time for this fusion spot.

Visiting Albuquerque and we were looking for good India food, when we saw this fusion restaurant on Google Maps. Simply amazing!! The owner is super friendly and gave us a good introduction into the menu he has personally created. Tried a range of different things, and they all were killer!! We got to even try a secret recipe that will be out in a few weeks and it was simply delicious!!
