This was an amazing experience. The staff were really kind, the food was amazing, also there was an amazing view with the mountains and the gondola. Definitely looking forward to coming here again in my next visit to Vail.

This is a great place after skiing. The staff were super friendly, and the food really hit the spot after a day of skiing. There is a great selection of beer wine and great food.

We were almost ready to walk out after sitting a while at the bar (20 minutes or so) where a bartender was too busy socializing to tend to customers when it wasn’t even busy yet. Another bartender showed up to help us and she provide top notch service. Becca is AMAZING! This place would be up the creek without her and its the ONLY reason I gave this place 5 stars.

We found this place as we were looking for somewhere that we have not tried before in Vail that does not cost an arm and a leg. This place had reservations open for our day (Saturday night) so we booked it. It is in golden peak, so you can take the vail village bus over there to their last stop and walk over. Go in the lobby of the manor lodge and go to the right and up the stairs to access the restaurant. When we arrived, there were many open tables. The host went to clean off a dirty one for us though to sit us at a specific one apparently. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come over to even greet us even though he had walked by our table multiple times before that. So because of that we were ready to order everything at once. We ordered water and beers, the bavarian pretzel to share, the steak frites, the steak sandwich, and two golden peak melts. The waters came, but the pretzel came before our beers did. The pretzel was weird because the outside was so hot to the touch we couldn’t even rip it. But once we did, the inside was barely luke warm. How is that? That was weird. The pretzel did taste good though. The cheese sauce that it came with was amazing. Beware the mustard is a horseradish mustard that comes with the pretzel as well. (It only says mustard on the menu, not horseradish mustard). It took quite a long time for our food despite it being a small restaurant and it being half empty and there were two servers wandering around with nothing to do, passing by our empty waters multiple times. Finally we got a water refill. Two plates came out, and we were expecting the other two plates to come out on the next trip, but it was another 5 or so minutes before the second trip came out. The steak frites was a huge disappointment. The steak was asked for medium rare, and it was cooked medium well. It was supposed to be an 8oz ribeye and it looked like a 6oz sirloin. We are steak connoisseurs, and this was 100% NOT a ribeye for certain because it had zero fat (again probably a sirloin). It was dry, chewy, and had zero flavor. It was also the most expensive thing on the menu. The fries were good though. Too bad it was about 3/4 the way through our meal before the server came to check on us. Again, why the slow service if it’s a slow night? Empty tables on a Saturday night should have been a red flag. The steak sandwich was fine, no complaints except for it was just fine. The golden peak melt with the tomato soup does not come with a side (as a heads up again because it is listed in the same section of the menu as the other sandwiches that come with a side). So a side is extra for the grilled cheese because it comes with the tomato soup as the “side” This however was the standout star. The grilled cheese was perfectly grilled and crispy, the cheese was plentiful and perfectly melted, the apple slices gave it a great crunch. The tomato soup had balsamic glaze on it and the flavor was outstanding. Everyone else wanted what we had. The atmosphere overall is nice they have good decorations and a rustic modern feel. They have a large tequila selection as well which was interesting. Overall, we felt there was no excuse for the low level of service we received and for the terrible awful steak. Our mistake I guess for ordering steak at a bar food restaurant. Will we come back? Maybe, because the price was very right here, and we will all get the grilled cheeses.

The bartender and waitress were great. The ahi tuna salad was delicious. The pork ribs were terrible as was the ribeye. We love this resort but omg, those ribs were terrible.

Wow I loved this restaurant. The risotto was AMAZING. The onion soup and the salad OMG. It’s one of my best decision in colorado because it’s hard to get a restaurant available. Everything is with reservation but I called this place and they helped me with all and the food is very delicious and fresh

We had a delicious après-ski meal on arguably the the busiest days of the year, December 31st. Our group had some confusion on where we left our belongings, and the staff went above and beyond in helping relocate our goods. A big should out to Pete, Fran, and Jenn at the front desk. I can’t recommend The Fitz enough, the good atmosphere, the great staff, the amazing food. Locals are lucky to have an establishment of this caliber this so close to the mountain.

Easily made a dinner reservation for a party of 6 on a Friday night. Service was very nice, attentive, and professional. The food was really good, especially for a small lounge on the edge of Vail. Portions were also fairly generous.

I hate writing bad reviews but considering this is a touristy area, people should know this isn’t representative of Colorado cuisine. I’ll start with a couple positives. If you just want a drink or two, this might be a good spot. The French fries, tots and pretzel were good, staple bar snacks. That being said, the prices are pretty unreasonable for them as well.

Wow, this place is the real deal! Stopped in for lunch with my family on a Friday and was super impressed. The restaurant itself is decorated in a very casual, comfortable, yet classy way. It also has outdoor seating that overlooks the river, but the real star was the food. My kids had the crispy chicken sandwiches, and they both ate everything on the plate (a rarity!). My wife had the tuna tartare and raved about it the whole time. I had the burger, and oh my goodness, it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. It literally was the perfect lunch! Can’t wait to go back. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.
