The food was good, but it took at least 40 minutes just to get 2 house salads for our appetizers. Whole service was brutally slow. There was no communication about why our food, appetizers, and drinks took so long.

The chicken and shrimp plate was uneatable due to the amount of pepper they put on EVERYTHING. Was never offered drink refills. The root beer was horrible. The honey BBQ wings were delicious. I wouldn’t go back to that place.

I feel like the reviews don’t do this place right. Maybe they have new owners but I’ve never had a problem and I’ve been here 4 times in last 6 months or so. Their buffalo sauce is great flavor and their burgers are terrific. 5 starts good to have a reliable burger place in Andover in addition to Timbuktu.

Went to celebrate starting new job and had a great experience. Rose was our server and she was fantastic! She had a great, friendly attitude and was very attentive without being annoying. Food was okay but server made it great! If you go ask for Rose.

Service was decent. Food sucked. Side salad looked bad and tasted bad. Mashed potatoes and broccoli were cold as hell. The only OKAY thing was my salmon and that’s one of the most expensive things on the menu. This was strike 3 for me. Won’t be back.

This place has ups and downs. This visit was an “up” experience but don’t bet your appetite on their kitchen being consistent. This time their bourbon street steak’s,seaaoning was spot-on but it was a half-stage overcooked – hey, folks, buy some meat thermoneters! Consistently nice staff. I’m no fan of televisions in a dining room… dinner is a social event and TV is just a distraction and source of excessive background noise that interferes with conversation.

i had a salad and it appeared to be made before hand and stored. lettuce was stale and discolored. Water in bottom of dish. service was ok but not great. i also had garlic mashed potatoes , they appeared to be just mash potatoes and not what i ordered. Wife order steak medium and it came out very rare.

My husband and I ordered ribeye steaks with the assumption they would be prepared on the wood fire grill, as they always had in the past. We were severely disappointed when our steaks arrived to our table and looked as though they were prepared in a skillet. We asked our waitress and she stated they’ve were cooked on a grill, which was not true. We ended up talking with the fill in manager who informed us they were indeed prepared in a skillet and ran through a broiler machine. How can the establishment be named “Applebees Grill & Bar” if they are not utilizing a grill? They also no longer have baked potatoes as a menu option, so we ordered three cheese macaroni. It was disgusting, flavorless, not cheesy, another disappointment. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone, nor will we EVER enter another Applebees. I would also highly recommend they start drug testing their employees as well, because it was beyond obvious that some of them were under the influence. Just a terrible experience that will leave a life long lasting impression.
