Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, their nachos were great, the chips are thin and salty. The drinks were large, sometimes you order drinks and they come in such small cups, but they don’t skimp here. The prices weren’t crazy like most airport restaurants. And it was fresh and delicious.

On the upside, the pork sandwich was one of the meatiest and tastiest I have had in a long time. Pretty surprising for an airport restaurant! And the fried pickles were pretty good too. But the service was terrible. We asked for water, but he never brought it so we ended up asking another server. The french fries were supposedly seasoned according to the menu, but when we received them, they were just plain, and the server never mentioned why. They were out of the sauce that was advertised for the fried pickles and did not bring anything or offer anything until we asked about it.

I had a great experience here. The food was loaded with flavor, rich, and delicious. This burger was exactly what I was looking for! I was pleasantly surprised at how good the mac & cheese and salad tasted. The servers were prompt and friendly, the restaurant was clean and orderly, and the speakers were playing 90’s country music. I’ll eat there again when opportunity arises.

I never have high expectations of airport food. Usually overpriced and meh. But Smoke House was a pleasant surprise. I got the brisket grilled cheese and fried okra. The brisket grilled cheese was great and the fried okra was better than my grandma’s. That says a lot. And I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were. I paid what I would have expected if I were NOT at the airport

Played great country music the whole time. Food was delicious, not exactly Texas BBQ but very close. Prices for the airport was amazing. I had a brisket sandwich with fries, and 3 large beers for $30. Definitely worth the stop in Terminal A, right after security. Bartender was overly busy, could use 2 at a time. Also when the Yuengling keg got kicked, the bartender said it would take an hour to replace. That’s why service is only 3 star.

We stopped in for a quick bite at the airport location. All we ordered was the smoked turkey sandwhich with the smoked macaroni and cheese. When I went to ask fo a knife the server walked right by me so I asked one of the cooks in the back fora knife. They didn’t have I am guessing due to airport security however I would be speculating since they didn’t explain why. The smoke turkey and mac and cheese had a strong smoke taste which took away from the food. The turkey was on a large bun with a little bit od sauce. To say the least it was very dry and did not hit the spot as I had hoped. Understanding that sometimes its hard to find good food in an airport I will not be eating there again.

**READ BEFORE COMING HERE** I grew up in Austin TX, 2 hours north of here. I pride myself a BBQ aficionado. I smoke my own brisket and all. We decided to stop at the smoke shack in the San Antonio airport, and I regret saying I was pretty disappointed. I know you can’t expect much from airport BBQ, but still. The brisket comes pre chopped, and very dry. Mac and Cheese had a pool of grease I poured out. You can see it in the dish in the photo. The “seasoned” fries had perhaps been stored next to some parsley and accidentally got exposed, but I wouldn’t call them seasoned. The ribs were passable, but also dry and a touch tuff. Chopped Brisket sandwich was also dry, with no pickles onions or anything else. All in all, as a Texan I would hate for someone passing through to think this is typical Texas BBQ. Service was good and fast.

The atmosphere is vibrant. Great view of the smaller airplanes coming in and a train that goes by in the distance. Clean and colorful. Music playing not too loud but enjoyable in the background. Food looks gorgeous.

Not bad, just ok. Not worth $16. Meat is too small, should of been a little bigger. But the sides made up for it. Sides were still not great just ok, are it because I was hungry. But I guess that’s what’s airport food is supposed to be ‍♀️. Next time I’ll go to whataburger, at least I’ll get more food.

Great food to enjoy while you wait for your flight. Must order something before you sit at a table. Everything was delicious, but the staff was not the friendliest, they seem a little bit overwhelmed. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny!
