I have been to Vietnam twice so the Pho is not really in the same league but it is above average for the US. I do not really understand all of the hate for Derrick. He may not be that outgoing but he was very effecient and prompt. My girlfriend (who is Vietnamese) noticed that the broth is a darker than it is in Vietnam. The second picture below is the best Pho I had in Hanoi. The first is the Pho Place.

We just had lunch here. Server Derrick was very rude and unwelcoming. He never looked at our table while asking other tables if everything is ok. He just left the check on our table when food came out and never returned. He seemed to ignore us as best he could. He has this weird attitude against customers that really makes you feel uncomfortable. Like I felt my present wasn’t accepted or something. He was really just so rude the whole time we were there. Stupid! To keep their business, he should be fired for sure.

While on a trip to North Alabama we looked for a place to try that was close to the hotel. We searched and came across Pho Place. Name says it all. The Pho was great. Nice broth with rare beef. My wife had the chicken hot pot. I love Pho and this is as good as other great places I have tried. The meal was excellent for the value. I will be going back the next time I am in the area.

I go here twice a month and it’s always good. Dine in or to go. Service is fast and the pho is great. There is usually only one server so people should be a bit more understanding. I have zero issues with how they do things

My husband and I were traveling and found this gem! Pho is near and dear to our hearts and we can only rave about this place. The service was great, the place was clean, and the pho broth was delicious! The server we had(I forgot his name, but thank you so much) even recommended a different spring roll option which was more popular. This is now going to be a “must” when traveling in this direction. If you are looking for authentic tasting broth they do not skip on the flavor. I honestly cannot wait to try their vermicelli next time.

So good and very quick service. This is better than the Pho we ate regularly in Hawaii and I thought we wouldn’t find anything better. My husband said it’s the best Pho he’s ever had and he’s very well traveled. We’ll be coming back regularly.

I only ever get to go orders but they always answer the phone promptly and get your food ready quickly. The pho is really good and it comes in a bowl that’s big enough to eat it out of instead of a cup like other places. Extra sauce and utensils are always included

After moving here from California, I’ve been going here and another Vietnamese place on 280 near by. I was in search of the best Vietnamese restaurant. After comparing the two, I feel like pho place is the most authentic. I love their pho and other Vietnamese dishes are great. They even serve Chinese food which I’ve tried. Their Chinese food is actually one of the better ones than some other Chinese restaurants in Birmingham IMO.
