Food was very nicely presented and tasty. Some of the best falafel I’ve had. Hummus was fine, babaganoush was made in an unusual way compared to what I’ve had everywhere else but I liked it.

I recently visited this restaurant (Rumi) and had a delicious meal! I ordered a platter with beef and it was cooked to perfection – tender and full of flavor. But the baklava was also great. It was the perfect blend of sweet and nutty flavors, and I could tell it was made with care.

This place is phenomenal. The owner is personable. He takes time to get to know his customers and makes the food himself. Who makes you Turkish tea just because while you wait?

Stopped here on my way to Nashville and the food was amazing so happy I found this place. It’s such a homemade taste and the people working there are so friendly. You can see they put time into making their food great. Defiantly recommend, will stop here again whenever I get the chance.

Rumi Gyro Mediterranean: Hospitable, food came out and was served immediately, we didn’t order drinks and automatically received water. Lamb and beef gyros salad was a good sized portion for a good price, and tasted great. Chicken shawarma wrap was also tasty and a lot of food. Fries are thick cut that you season yourself, good texture. Falafel came nice and hot, soft inside. Turkish delights and baklava are great. There isn’t much in the area and it seems from prior reviews that the restaurant has a good amount of turnover, so I hope this place survives. I was confused looking at photos on reviews because this is currently a Turkish Mediterranean spot and the photos were of all kinds of other cuisine. I couldn’t find their health score on the TN department of health or agriculture websites by name, corp, or address; but the equipment looked spotless and everything was labeled.

Best gyro and falafel in Knoxville. This was an awesome place to dine. The owner or manager and staff were all super kind. The food was also excellent and well prepared. If ever in Knoxville and in search of Greek or Mediterranean, this is the place to be. I had gyro plate and Baklava for dessert. Yummy in my tummy. House made falafel and hummus were also very yummy.

Rumi, the hidden gem of gyro places, has taken my taste buds on an exquisite culinary journey. From the moment I stepped inside their warm and inviting eatery, I knew I was in for a treat. The combination of outstanding service, cozy ambiance, and mouthwatering gyros made Rumi an experience to remember.

This place knocked my socks off! I’m so glad I didn’t go alone, because I was able to order quite a few things on the menu. I had the lamb and rice bowl. I tried the baba Ghanoush and the hummus, and they are both absolutely spectacular. Very authentic and flavorful.

This is the best mediterranean restaurant in Knoxville! Their chicken is cooked to perfection and seasoned to have your mouth watering! The street fries are a must try. The baklava is the best in town. We tried their new chicken wings and again, perfection. We love it so much we are here one to two times a week. Don’t hesitate…try it!
