Absolutely incredible! Amazing quality of sushi served by an incredible couple team. Beautiful space that makes you feel at home. Unique cured, dry aged fish, the salmon was my favorite, it literally melts in your mouth. Pop rocks on sushi? Turns out it works, a sensory experience! Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent modern sushi joint. Great specials with some really unique items such as toro, grasshopper sushi, torched nigiri. Saba roll was very flavorful! We tried some cones as well and were pleasantly surprised by the snow crab and white tuna cone. Staff is very friendly and went above and beyond.

Great sushi restaurant. Definitely recommend the nigiri style sushi with aged toro salmon and aged tuna. So delicious. The other rolls we had were very good too, and the miso soup was the best we’ve had. The chef/owner checked in with us which was very nice, and our server was extremely kind and helpful. Sushi Mazi is my go-to sushi place in town. Everything is made with care – the chefs are second to none! The staff is great and I am consistently blown away by their salmon nigiri. Their rolls are creative, delicious, and expertly crafted. I have a shellfish allergy and feel super safe eating there.

I have eaten at every sushi restaurant I know of in Portland (and in many other cities throughout the US). Sushi Mazi is one of our best. It surprises me that this place stays under the radar. The fish is served whole (no sushi salad!), the rolls (my go to) are delicious and creative, and the atmosphere is chill.

Exceptional rolls. I have been looking for such place for a long time. Rice is made properly and not falling apart like in many other places. High quality ingredients. Eel sushi, Green dragon roll, and Golden dragon roll are the best. Come here every time we are in Portland.

Went here for a late afternoon date, we ordered the Sashimi chef choice appetizer (delicious!), we also tried the fried cricket sushi and ordered all the different salmon options. The salmon was buttery and delicious and the ikura was fresh! The staff and chef were friendly and provided exceptional service 🙂 thank you!
