Best chicken & waffles! We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was kind but slow. We waited 30 minutes for seats but we also came Sunday during peak hours. We felt that the portions weren’t as large as other brunch spots we’ve been but overall great place for brunch!

Made a reservation for a bday brunch on a Saturday and the experience was great. Our server was nice and the food was good. I tried the peach chipotle wings were lacking flavor, the sauce could have been so much better! The mimosas were good & I appreciated them bringing the champagne & orange juice separately. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and I loved the sweet potato fries. I did ask for sweet potato fries but they brought out red potatoes, the swap out was easy. Also, parking across the street is free so that was a bonus!

Service was tops! Vibe was super cool. My chilaquiles were blah- black beans not cooked fully and lack of flavor. Baked Brie was delicious! Highly recommended. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. The flight of mimosas were good yet majorly overpriced.

Great place, good, open atmosphere and good people, excellent service, and awesome menu. We breakfast here regularly and recently stopped in for dinner. First time, so I can only speak to the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and the carrot cake for dessert–both were excellent. Highly recommend!

My family and I dined at this establishment a couple of weeks ago. First I made reservations because we have a large group, this was done 2 weeks ahead of time. We made it before our reservation time, we weren’t greeted I had to say something to the lady at the front of the house. We were s really patient and I asked the lady at the front of the house about our table and she said she was working on it but the table we sat at was empty and no one went to clean it. I understand a lot of places are short staffed but the owner didn’t even have the decency to apologize about the wait, when I addressed that she said that had we walked in with a big group we would’ve waited 2 hours and I told her that was the point of making reservations so we didn’t have to wait. She argued with me and said I was yelling which I was not, it’s so frustrating that a lot people immediately think that black women are yelling so it makes us look like the “angry black woman” when all I wanted to know was when we were going to be seated and an apology for the wait which we never received. Finally at 1:15 we were seated, the servers were amazing!!!! The owner Megan needs to take tips from them on how you treat a customer!! Food was mediocre at best, I agree with a previous review that the mimosa was the best thing on the menu. I will give 2 stars for the servers only, we have never been treated the way the “owner” treated us! On person in our group got food poisoning from the crab Benedict. I also forgot to mention that our wait was so long someone in our group had to leave, so she went to the bar to try and order take out and no one ever came to help her. Very very disappointed all the way around. I wouldn’t go back to homesteaders even if it was for free food!!

Stopped and had breakfast. My wife and I shared a cinnamon roll. I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the French toast. We also tried the biscuits and gravy. Good was good, service was great. If you get there after 10 am, get a reservation. We highly recommend them! Good stuff!

First time here, party of 4 adults and 3 kids, was really hoping for a better experience. Service was extremely slow, at first it was okay because it gave us time to visit. Finally placed our order, took a longer than I expected for the food to come and then it came out one dish at time. At least they did bring the childrens dishes first. I ordered the farmers breakfast with sausage and pancakes, I was expecting to get a sausage patty instead I got crumbled sausage. I ordered my eggs over medium but instead got over very easy, the white was very runny and my potatoes were inedible. My daughter in law order biscuits and gravy and sent it back because the biscuit was hard and dry. My daughter ordered the farmers breakfast with eggs over hard and they was just burnt, she did however enjoy the bacon. This so called house made ketchup is a joke, it taste like a cross between marinara and cocktail sauce with some added sugar. The servers didn’t really seem to care that we weren’t pleased with the service or the food and just walked away while I was trying to complain. I will say the mimosas are great!! The best thing this place has going.

Took a chance on this on a Sunday and what a great spot. Food was great. Started with the cinnamon roll and I love that the icing wasn’t super sweet. I had the biscuit Benedict and that was so good. The pork belly and poached eggs where cooked perfect and that gravy was amazing. Son loved the sausage and bacon on his farmers plate. Emma was an amazing server and when we go back we will sit with her again. Take advantage of the free parking across the street just make sure you know your plate number.

Underwhelmed. Tried this place for the first time after checking out the website. Had the blueberry lemon curd pancakes. The one pancake was awesome. Perfect lemon curd and blueberries still so juicy they squirted when you ate them. Would highly recommend trying if you go. But that was really it as for our pleasant experience. My bottom pancake and my daughters panckae was too burnt to eat. We ordered beignets which were also burnt. We did get credited $10. The table and bench we discovered after sitting was not very clean. Maybe it was just a bad day, but this won’t be my first choice for breakfast in Kansas City.

So, I did actually get quite sick here after ordering a vegan burrito and getting the regular that has meat and dairy. I threw up in the very clean bathrooms (bonus) and they brought me the right order on the fly so no harm no foul. I want to be clear, my server was EXCELLENT and she was handling a ton of tables solo with a few runners. It’s totally normal for mistakes to be made. I just really recommend that if you come here and have dietary restrictions that you SPEAK UP. It’s busy, they’re busy, and mistakes happen. My issue is just that I feel like there’s something a bit missing from the food that I did have and room for a second try. I’ll be back!
